Probably a bad motor, disconnect one of the motors and see if it still does it, then you know that disconnected motor is the bad one

SOURCE: John Deer Gator only drives in low gear.

Sometimes the levers go bad in the shifter, but I would first check the shifter to make sure the switches are engaging. You should also check the wiring on the motors in the rear. Sometimes they come loose and if they are not making a good contact the gator will not go in proper speeds.
You can get great help at
They have a toll free number and are very helpfull because the repair them as well.

SOURCE: my sons peg perego john deere jeep only sets off

I would get the Peg Perego Gator Shifter Assembly from
Make sure the wires are secure on both motors in the back.
One time I had the same problem and I had loose wires on the motor, but I ended up replacing the switch assembly later because it would only work in 1st gear.
Hope this helps

Electrical short

Hi Craig, First thing to do is isolate which circuit has the short, this can be done by observing which fuse is burning. Secondly, trace the lines (cables) of each unit which operates in that circuit and eventually isolate the cable or unit. It may sometimes be advisable once the cable has been positively identified, to cut both ends and run an additional cable, replacing the original. Obviously if the problem is a particular unit, it will need rectification. Keep in mind that sometimes manufactures these days do not follow colour coding but instead use labelling at each end of a circuit. Toyota does just that on many circuits. Keep in mind that short circuits are extremely dangerous and can be life threatening. Regards John

Have a 2 year old 115 with new blades, the blade heights do not match in the center of the mower deck. Is there an adjustment so theymatch

No, not unless somebody has changed the bearing unit out and it has a different depth to it. The washer on the top? Maybe. I have 2 john deeres out there and I know they are not adj, but I would check the spindles for washers or whatever somebody might have done to it. How far is it off?

Sounds like you might have spilled some descaling solution on top of the machine. It might have gotten down into the board and is shorting the circuits. I have seen this before. The board might be salvageable but needs to done professionally.
You could be leaking internally and shorting the board.

Hi Ed,

I have been in the industry for the past 2 years as a watchmaker's assistant. So I'll see if I can help.

The larger second hand you see in this Chronograph model, using it is only available in the Chronograph mode.

How long a battery should last (if I had a dollar for everytime I've heard that one! :)

Well generally a battery should last about 2 years. It all depends on how many functions that watch has, as for a chrono the more you use that function the more the battery power it uses. I have not seen this watch but as it looks to be the 'standard' kind of format of a chronograph, just one battery would surfice.

In regards to 1/10 lap, please take the to a watchmaker as the hands need to be reset, this either can be done manually or can be done by pulling out the crown slightly (please as if you are to forcefull you will pull the crown and stem out) NOT GOOD!. if you pull it out to 'quick date change' where only the date can be changed try pressing one of the pushers and see which sub dial hands move, if that doesn't work try the other pusher.

Again if the above doesn't work, pull the crown out to time set mode (where you can adjust the time) and try the same steps as above. If this fails and it's still off, take it to a watchmaker and he/she will realign the hands for you!

Kind Regards

No Power in Mitsubishi VS-55705

Hi John This model is equipped with a self-diagnosis feature to help with diagnosis of shutdown problems. To activate this turn the unit on let it shutdown then press the input/device and menu buttons on the front panel simultaneously and hold them in for 5 seconds after 5 seconds the power LED on the front panel will blink a two digit sequence. This will be one set of blinks a short pause then another set of blinks, this will repeat 5 times. 1 - 2 = no error detected 2 - 1 = X-ray protect (high voltage or beam current) 2 - 2 = Short protect (short protect monitors low voltage supplies) 2 - 3 = Deflection protect (this could be loss of vertical or horizontal deflection) 2 - 4 = Vertical protect (usually loss of vertical from the source) 1.
