If you look at the water reservoir, you'll see a small black square close to the water outlet that moved around freely inside a small enclosure. That black square is a magnet that triggers a switch inside the coffee maker. When there's water in the reservoir, it is supposed to sort of float to the top of the small enclosure. When the reservoir is empty, it will drop down and disengage the internal switch. In your case, the black square doesn't 'float' anymore even when the reservoir is full.So your coffee machine is again n again telling you to fill water.Actually water is already filled. But the machine is not sensing the water. ---------- Try this procedure to resolve this issue:--- Take a small hammer with a metal head, stuck it in the water reservoir close to the black square and make sure it's 'pulled up'. The internal switch will engage and the coffee maker will detect that the reservoir is full. Of course if you run out of water now, the coffeemaker will still think the reservoir is full, so pay close attention to how much water you actually have left in the reservoir. --------- also check one more thing that your water reservoir sits properly and not loose.Place the water reservoir and then keep is bit pressed with your hand or tell any one to press the water reservoir bit tight to its place. Then see if its working. It will work. Many a times water reservoir tank does not get properly fitted then also such messages comes up.---------- This will help.thanks.helpmech.

My b60 machine sometimes doesn't fill all the way, i notice when it goes threw its cycle, the auto fill which isn't hooked up will fill the holding tank.

Sorry to read about your issue.

The brewer should be de-scaled at least every 3-6 months. Scale is harmless, but if left unattended, it can hinder optimal brewer performance. De-scaling your brewer regularly helps maintain the heating element, removable water reservoir and other parts of the brewer that come in contact with water. Better water quality and water heating means a better cup of coffee, tea, hot cocoa or iced beverage. We recommend de-scaling your brewer at least every 6 months (every 3 months if your water has a high mineral content). The de-scaling process involves using 48 ounces of undiluted white vinegar.

Take 48 oz of white vinegar. place in tank. pretend you are making coffee (Do No Use K Cup). let the water fill you mug. then empty that mug. Do it again until tank is empty. then let sit for 4 hours.
Then fill with fresh water to the top. let that tank of water run thru. towards the end taste the water.
If you taste vinegar..use more clean water, until the taste is ok.

I tried to help you. Please help me and Vote/Rate this response. Thanks and good luck

The machine will say Fill water tank. So, we will take the container out of the machine fill it to or just a little above the recommended line and then put it back into the machine. It will be full and it...

After filling the water tank, can you see if a grey plastic piece, in the back of the water tank, is floating?. If no, then that part needs to be replaced. If it does float, then the integrity of the water sensor, (located in the back of where the water tank is housed into), will need to be tested. Testing this sensor requires, tricking the coffee maker... that the door is closed. With Coffee Maker in the "ON" position, you will need to hold door switch in (located top right corner of unit, with door opened). As switched is held in, you will need to use a magnet and place it around the rear of where the water tank is housed into (Rear-left middle height area)... just around where the water tank float would be, if it were filled with water and inserted into the coffee maker. This sensor isn't visible, but is activated when a magnet is placed around it. If "FILL WATERTANK" message goes away, then replace plastic float or water tank itself.

How to decalcify saeco royal exclusive coffee machine

Hi
Auto descale: To automatically descale your machine, press the scoop button or menu button if you have one, and hold it down until you enter the menu. Use the arrows on the left to scroll down until you come to Descale. Press enter and the machine will enter the mode to descale your machine. The process takes about 45 minutes. You don’t have to do a thing except mix a full water tank with descaling solution and have a container under the steam wand when your start. To start the descaling process, simply turn the steam knob. When the process is over your machine will say "Descale finished". Remove your water tank and rinse it out. Refill it with fresh water. Replace on the machine and start the descaling process over again to rinse your machine. Go back into your menu and scroll up or down 1 to signal descale and enter. Choose "Yes" and push enter so the machine will tell you when you need to descale again.

Where do i get a manual to de calcify a saeko royal

Hi Auto descale: To automatically descale your machine, press the scoop button and hold it down until you enter the menu. Use the arrows on the left to scroll down until you come to Descale. Press enter and the machine will enter the mode to descale your machine. The process takes about 45 minutes. You don’t have to do a thing except mix 32 oz. of water in the tank with descaling solution (1 packet or 1 oz.) and have a container under the steam wand when your start. If you have a cappuccinonatori on your machine you will need two containers. To start the descaling process, simply turn the steam knob. When the process is over your machine will say “Descale finished”. Remove your water tank and rinse it out. Refill it with fresh water. Replace on the machine and start the descaling process over again to rinse your machine. Go back into your menu and scroll up or down 1 to signal descale and enter. Choose “Yes” and push enter so the machine will tell you when you need to descale again. Manual descale: To decalcify your boiler, remove your water tank and fill it with hot water (100 to 120 degrees). Open a pack of decalcifier and mix into the water tank. Place the tank back on the machine, then turn the machine on.

Cleaning light came on and now, coffee pot will not work

Automatic clean function
The coffee maker is equipped with an automatic clean function. After 60 brewing cycles, the clean indicator/button (22) lights up. This indicates coffee maker should be cleaned by using the automatic clean function and the charcoal filter (17) should be replaced.
NOTE: The coffee maker can continue to be used, when clean indicator/button (22) is on.
• To begin the cleaning cycle, remove the charcoal filter (17) from the water tank (10). Fill the tank with a vinegar and water mixture (1/2 vinegar and 1/2 water) or a descaling product. Press clean (22) button for three seconds. The clean indicator/button (22) flashes and the cleaning process begins.
Cleaning process:
• 24 cycles of 7 seconds brewing and 21 seconds off
• 30 minutes rest
• Brewing the remaining descaling solution
• After cleaning process is complete the clean indicator/button (22) goes off. Fill water tank (10) with clean water and run one brewing cycle to rinse the coffee maker.
• Change the charcoal filter (17) (ill. k). Reinsert the charcoal filter to the coffee maker (ill. l).
NOTE: You can use the cleaning function before reaching 60 cycles (especially if the water hardness is above normal). Press and hold clean indicator/button (22) for 3 seconds.
NOTE: The Cleaning Process takes 60 minutes to complete. You cannot cancel the cleaning process before it is complete. Unplugging the machine only delays the cleaning process.

"Fill water tank" prompt

this has happened to me too just yesterday (26 May 2013), I replaced the tank because I was lucky to have kept the spare bits off the old machine I had and it worked fine. Over time, the water gets into the float and corrodes the magnet. Best to just replace the magnet if you can or the whole tank. Good luck
