It shows "start upgrade" it means the upscaling videos to HDMI screen. ( High Bandwith Digital Multimedia Interface ).
It also scales component to 720p dvd quality...
Sound quality also increases..
So for that you need to upgrade it with proper functions .. For that you can call the shop people to do properly.

Thanks..

Yamaha RX-V2600 completely dead ... any ideas

If it is plugged in to a working outlet, and the AC cord is not broken, there is a problem in the power supply of the receiver. This provides all of the DC voltages that make all functions work. If it is completely dead, the display, the lights, the audio, (everything) is not working; and it is not likely there are separate problems in all of these areas at the same time.

How to perform a master reset

Unhook all HDMI connections unplug the yamaha and your tv from the wall outlet then try again. Most cases a copy protection kicked in or the hdmi had a error on the port, Worse case is hdmi controller board failure in ether the TV or the yamaha.

thanks and do be considerate and leave postive feedback and ratings for those that have helped you today, Thanks

I have a yamaha RX-V 2500 receiver that won't turn on.The front display stated to check the speakers, now the unit won't turn on at all you here is a clicking sound coming from the left rear of the unit....

Have you checked the speaker connections as requested? How about disconnecting all speakers and seeing what happens? If it works, you have a shorted speaker or wire.

Place for connecting transmitter ot reciever..cable plug does not fit anywhere on receiver

If you just using them for stereo, use the "main pre-out" on the receiver. if your using them for surround, they need to go the 5.1 pre-out rear. Hope this helps.

Is the onkyo mic optimizer compatible with yaama receiver

No, they are brand and model specific. If you visit a local retailer that sells Yamaha, tell them your model # and they may even have a mic you can use. If not, let me know, I'm a Yamaha dealer and can get it for you or point you in the right direction to get it. Hope this helps

RX-V2600 shuts down

Try checking your speaker impedance. If you have 6 ohm or 8 ohm speakers make sure the impedence matches. On the front panel hold down button that says "straight effect" while pressing Stanby/On button, it will default to SP IMP 8 min, press straight effect again, if you have 6 ohm speakers, then press Standby again to exit setting. Also, double check your speaker wires to make sure they are all connected, and none are loose.

I hope this helps.
