Hey, i have a nokia n 95 8gb, i have just changed the housing cover on it and now when i call anyone they cannot hear me, can you help?? many thanks adam x

It sounds like the new cover is not original and may be covering the microphone of your phone,
one solution would be to take the cover off, check where the mic is on your phone and pierce a hole on the cover and put it back,
another solution would be to get an original cover,
Good Luck

WHEN I DIAL A NUMBER I CANT HEAR ANYTHING UNLESS I SWITCH TO LOUD SPEEKER MODE ON A NOKIA N95

This happens when you change the case. If you look at your new case and compare it to your old one you will see a square module just the other side of the mesh microphone area. You have to remove this very carefully from your old case (clear screen) and put it into your new cover!

How do you change the covers on a n95

Change your n95 casing by following steps.
  1. Turn off your phone.
  2. Now slide up your phone half the way.Now you will see 4 screws at the back side.
  3. Open these 4 screws gently and remove the LCD side from the front of phone.
  4. To remove the back side, insert your finger nail at the left side (just at the 3.5mm jack) and then move it with force outward. It will put off from body of mobile.
  5. Now place the new cover at the right position and press it in downward side.
  6. Place the front side in the right position and tight the screws(Don't tight too much).

My nokia n95 wont call at all not even to see my balance just says call not allowed, the sim is brand new but phone is second hand so wonder if its blocked?

Your phone probably has call restriction enabled. If it is the case, find security settings in your phone settings menu, disable call restrictions by entering phone lock code. This phone lock code is 12345 by default, if changed & u dont know, you need to take it to nearest nokia service center to reset it to default. I hope this helps...

N95

hi friend,

go to website

www.sparepartsformobiles.co.uk/mobile_phone_spare_parts.asp?...%20ribbon%20with%20keypad...

Then consider changing the Flexi PCB (ribbon). This is a common failure as the ribbon can suffer wear as the phone slider opens and shuts. Eventually the ribbons become worn and often this results in a screen failure. Changing the ribbon can cure this in most cases... We advise that a new ribbon is added when the screen is changed it’s a good way to service this type of part. So if you do have a screen problem including a screen failure then consider changing this part before you spend good money on a screen.

thank u for using fixya

Nokia N95 puk code

PUK means "personal unlocking key" .

The PUK code is asked if you enter a wrong pin 3 times.

You need to call your phone service company, they can retrieve the puk code from a database
for free.

In your case you need to contact your SIM card phone provider technical support to unlock the SIM.

The PIN and PUK are related to the SIM card, not to the phone.

If you replace the SIM card with a different one, then the phone should not ask for the PUK anymore.

Your rating is highly appreciated on this matter.

thank you,

N95 keeps connecting to the net

That used to happen to me, however it was more user error!
This may not be true in your case however i'll explain anyway: As i'm sure you know by pressing down or the right command button you open the internet application. This would occur for me when i put the phone in my poket as there is a lag between closing the slide and the keypad locking. I suppose the way to tell is to change those buttons functions and see or check the keypad locks before putting it in your pocket. That is if it has anything to do with that! Hope this is a help anyway.
