It's time for a new monitor. Loss of focus is one of the symptoms of a picture tube (CRT) that has reached the end of its life. There is an internal focus adjustment that might make some improvement, but it will never look right again. The only cure is to replace the tube, but that is completely uneconomical. A new LCD monitor will cost less than a replacement CRT, if one can even be found. And setting up the replacement needs special tools and programming software not available. Dispose of this one appropriately (take it to a recycler to keep hazardous materials out of the trash) and treat yourself to a new monitor.

Photos are blurred.

Blurred images are caused by several reasons: motion due to camera shake, use of slow shutter speeds and failure of the camera to focus correctly.

Slow shutter speeds

When light is low, wide apertures and slow shutter speeds will be selected automatically by the camera. Most people can't take blur-free, hand-held shots when the shutter speed is under 1/60th of a second.

Cameras that have optical Image Stabilization help but even IS has its limits. Increase room lighting, increase the ISO setting or use a tripod, or use a combination of all three.

Blurred images or misfocus

If an image is blurred due to camera shake, the blur will appear throughout the entire image. If parts of an image are in focus, and others are not, you've misfocused.

About half the pics I take are lousy - blurred, hazy. Any ideas? Kodak Support SUCKS. And, they cannot repair their own cameras - or properly refurbish the ones they pass out as replacements.

what pics are you taking? Are they indoor or outdoor pics?

Usually the higher the ISO, the grainer the pictures become.

IS0 is the camera's sensitivity to light.

Do pictures turn out lousy outdoors in daytime?

48" rear projection hazy/bad picture

most fluid changes would fix that. I recommend doing all three but that's just me. Also make sure the crt's are full as this would cause the set to be out of focus. also make sure you don't move the yokes too much because you can knock the convergence out pretty bad and also have a blurred pix

Which mode are you shooting in?
You may have adjusted the exposure compensation so everything is washed out.

Whatever the cause, your images are overexposed. Try shooting in auto and the camera should take over the settings, but if you are in other modes, check your shutter speed, aperture, & ISO also. These are all things that can cause too much light and wash the picture out/OVEREXPOSE.

If you have any other questions or can give me more details, just ask!

Hope this helps!

Blurred Pictures on Polaroid a500 Digital Camera

Could be:

1. if her hands shake abit while takeing a image that might be it.
2. bad quality selected in cameras settings, read manual for more info on quality setting.
3. lens problem, is it dirty?

if this problem hasnt been here since the day the camera whas bought and none of those 3 work then there might be a hardware issue with the camera, lens damaged? etc.

try takeing a image by haveing the camera sit on a table, then use your pc to check if the picture is blurred.

You can take the camera for analysis to a local electronics or pc repairshop.

Camera taking very hazy pictures

First thing to try is to reset all your settings to default. It is possible to manually set the shutter time so that it stays open for a long period of time. If that is not the problem it is also possible that your shutter is not functioning properly. Do you see any vertical or horizontal lines running across your picture? (these would be totally straight not wavy like the movement from your exposure). If you do see that it is possible that your shutter is not closing at all when you take a picture.
