Regarding how to get simcard out from the mobile set

What is your mobile model?To insert simcard,the following conditions should be satisfied....
1)The mobile should be unlocked to accept the sim card
2)The mobile should have the sim slot (most CDMA phones do not have that provision)
3)The simcard size should be supported by mobile phone.
Now,if your mobile is locked with a particular network then you need to unlock it.For that you can either approach the respective network provider or third party unlocking services like Simpleunlocking.com or unBBlock.com (This is specifically for Blackberry phones) and unlock your mobile.Once your mobile is unlocked the sim slot will either be in the side or above or below the battery depending on your mobile model.If you search in Google you probably will get a more clear idea about where your sim slot is located.Once you find the sim slot remove the sim card and note down the position; replace it with the old sim card(it should support the phone sim size specification).

Just check your SIM for malfunction. If you have spare SIM you suggested to try in your phone ( just to where is the problem lies). If other good SIM still not readable, you problem with phone ( it probably on your SIM card port / interface). It will need repairing on shop.

You need to isolate the problem. Try the following:

1. Use a working SIM card into the problem phone. Make sure that it's from the same wireless provider.

2. Try your SIM card into another phone.

Doing this will allow you to isolate the problem.

first remove the sim card and then switch on the phone... then choose antenna on... after a few seconds you will see emergancy only on your screen ... turn off your mobile and insert the sim and switch it on again ... this solved my problem ... but this is not working on my cell now.. does anybody have a solution?

Your phone is asking for a code because it is locked to only work with one phone company. If your new sim is from a different company, you can request the unlock code from your old company, they may or may not give it to you (tmobile usually does, ATT/Cingular usually doesn't). The other option is to use a unlocking service, you can find plenty on ebay. If you didn't change phone companies, your new sim card is most likely bad, have your phone company send you another one.
