Question about Refrigerators
You have to be EPA certified to install freon in any appliance.
Freon is a greenhouse gas and regulated by the EPA. Any freon took out of system should be recovered.
Are you competent enough to work on appliances?
You have two lines on a compressor, large and small. I braze 2 -1/8" access fittings about 6" away from compressor. Then I install freon gauges to the fittings. I weigh the freon in with digital scales. Freon in a refrigerator is in a small amount and the charge is critical. If the freon is all gone, a deep vacuum will have to be pulled with a vacuum pump.
Let me know,if needed further assistance.
Hope i helped you.
Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!
