Question about JVC KD-AVX1 Car DVD Player

2 Answers

I have a JVC EXAD KD-AVX1 installed in my car. The face-plate got stolen last week but they kept the box and everything installed. Do some of the JVC face-plates interchange, meaning can I buy a face-plate for a JVC KD series and put it in my installed box? Also, wondering if there was a way to contact JVC for possibly buying a faceplate from them.

You can get a new face from pacparts.com, but it is about $330. You'd be better off getting a new deck.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

JVC KD-AVX1. The head unit will not "turn on" when the power button is pushed. The display just stays off. The face lights up when you press the eject button and opens up and you are able to feed...

is this a headunit you have just installed? if not then I am not sure, but if it is, try swapping the red and yellow wires over. One should have permanent live, the other should be switchable. (unless you want the headunit to stay on when the ignition is off, in which case put them both to a permenant live feed.)
Hope this helps.
