Have a bagged Biss ll Powerforce vacuum that has started making a loud rattling noise under the base of the motor compartment. Noise is louder when using the hose. Suggestions? Thank you!

Something broke or got sucked in and is trapped in there. Put it up on a table and take the bottom apart, it's time to clean the roller anyway :)

How can I get the bag compartment open without the latch on it?

Debris?
I've always connected the hose to the exhaust or reversed it and sucked the debris back out.
No latch? Try to figure out how it worked and then try to duplicate the function with whatever tool works.

Cuff from end of hose stuck in wand on DC04 Dyson

Hi Ed,

I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC04. To dislodge anything stuck inside the wand, I'd suggest using something like a garden cane to push the obstruction out.

I have a sharp twin energy, the hose isn't sucking very well, and just today it had a burnt plastic smell

This sounds like something is plugging the air flow. You need to take apart until you find it. Air flow also cools your unit.

Our Dyson sucked something up last week (not sure WHAT) and now the telescoping hose won't ****. Well, it sucks but just BARELY . I took the hose apart and can't see anything, but it makes a weird noise...

Well if the hose is completly clear the blockage is either before that or after that the brush roller should come out to clean the tube as you know also comes out make sure all are clear right up to the collector

I have the dyson animal. There is something stuck in the wand tube and everyting is getting caught on it. There is very little suction from the wand. How do I get the wand apart or somehow get the object...

Yes, things stuck in vacuum hoses are not always as easy to remove as one might think. Trying to push it out with something can be counter-productive, and only get the thing stuck tighter! If you have a second vacuum, you can try sucking it out the way it came in (and risk getting it stuck in the other machine. Or you can try pulling it out, using a wooden stick with a small hook screwed in the end. If you try a piece of bent wire, you must be careful not to perforate the hose. Usually just requires a bit of ingenuity.

Eureka Enviro Vac Model 4470 Not Sucking

First, check to see if there is suction without the hose on the base. If not, and there is no blockage, the problem is likely a damaged impeller, the small fan that makes the suction. That will have to be replaced.
