Problem for Canon PIXMA MX700 All-In-One InkJet Printer
Printing black ink
Hi
I've been away for 7 wks and I had a generic black ink in the printer, the other colors work fine but the black doesn't work now. I brought a new canon ink, but it still doesn't print. It does recognise it and shows up as full, however no black printing works.

some canon printers come with a utility program that has a whole host of troubleshooting programs.
if yours came with this, try looking in it for a nozzle cleaner or head cleaner utility.
im thinking the generic ink may have gummed up the printer nozzles.
if that doesnt work, take a Q-Tip and clean the heads and nozzles on the cartridge with denatured alcohol (~$10; pick it up at local pharmacy maybe? i got mine through the local grocery stores pharmacy).
let me know if that works for you. got a couple other ideas.
