How do I change a vent in the back of a dryer to the bottom?

Most new models have plates that can be removed so that you can vent to any side except the front. The bottom is considered a side. You need to get to the inside of the unit and then move the exhaust hose to the area that you want it to vent to. IT would be helpful if you post the make and model.

My dryer is not drying i noticed there was no air coming out the vent out side

disconnect the exhaust vent from the back of the dryer and see if you have any air coming out of the back of the dryer if you do you will most likely have to replace the exhaust vent line that goes from the back of your dryer to your outside vent. Blockages of lint build up over time and should be cleaned at least once every 6 months. If you find that you have no air coming out of the back of the dryer when you remove the vent line message me back for further diagnosis. I await your reply
Thank you

How do i change the high limit thermostat on a kenmore dryer # 72822

Unplug the dryer from the electrical outlet. Slide the dryer out from the wall and disconnect the dryer vent from the back of the dryer. Loosen the retaining screw on the clamp connecting the vent to the dryer's exhaust port and slide the vent off of the port.
Remove the hex nuts holding the dryer's rear panel in place and slide the rear panel off to the side of the dryer. Locate the high-limit thermostat on the heating element housing on the right side of the dryer. The oval-shaped thermostat can be found a few inches from the bottom of the heating element housing.
Unplug the two thermostat wires by sliding them off of the thermostat's contact posts. Slide the old thermostat out of the socket on the heating element housing.

A sock fell into the lint resevoir; how do I remove it?

If your dryer is the model you have this listed under (lint filter on the top panel), then retrieving something stuck in the vent is pretty simple. Just follow these steps:

1. Unplug the dryer and remove the back panel. The dryer exhaust vent is located on the left hand side (as viewed from the rear).

2. Remove the screws that hold the vent in place and remove. NOTE: Make sure you remove the two screws located on the top panel as well. The entire exhaust vent will come out.

If this is not how your dryer is configured, please post back with your correct model number. If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

Dryer will not come on. i changes all my fuses and got a voltage tester and all that is fine, where can i find out about checking any fuses on the dryer itself?

Check the thermal fuse on the dryer.
Remove the rear panel.
The thermal fuse is located on the exhaust vent.
It is about 1 and 1/2 inches long and 1/2 inch wide. It is white in color.
It is at the left side of the exhaust vent outlet.

Vent placement

Keep in mind, a new dryer at peak performance is only able to exhaust air in a "STRAIGHT" line 90 feet away. The more bends you add to the exhaust that are unnecassary, will decrease the performance of your dryer.

Please don't forget to rate "jsrock516's" solution, His is perfectly on point.
