SOURCE: Karcher SC 1502 steam cleaner can't get cap off water tank

Dear jrider784,
I solved a problem like this on FIXYA, just a few months ago. I gave this solution. Try to fill the machine from somewhere else. You can do this from the outlet. If you manage to do this, put on the machine. ( now you know that when there is hot water in the machine, the tap goes round free for safety). Now as the water starts to cool down....start trying to see if you can unscrew it. My plan is that with the hot water, the safety will start to work again. If the cap does not release the safety on cooling, then there is no other way but to destroy the cap and replace with a new one. Very important to mention that this job must be done by a qualified technician or some one who knows what he is doing. Working with hot water is very dangerous.
Regards,
Fulltech.

SOURCE: don't know how much water to use in Scunci Steam Cleaner

The little cup that comes with it to fill it has a line on it and says "220ml MAX". I would not recommend putting anything but water into it!

SOURCE: Steamer filler cap is sealed

You need a little more leverage--either a strap type tool or a pair of adjustable width pliers that span the width of the cap. Try running hot water over the cap first which may loosen it enough to remove by hand.

SOURCE: safety cap on the Euro-Pro dexuxe steam cleaner style SC507H

if it is anything like mine...you push the cap down, give it a full turn & release. keep doing this (maybe 5 or more times, and eventually it will start unscrewing easily without needing to push down

Check the hose for something clogging it. It will be past the flattened area (by that I mean further from the steam cleaner). It sounds like something got stuck in the hose, and as the steam cleaner kept sucking on the hose, it caused the hose to flatten.

Have a Salton EX 15 coffee Espresso maker and my espresso top dial (strength control) is now clicking versus smoothly turning and no water is now coming out. The froth stem is working fine. Also cant find...

The reason why the setting dial is clicking, because it's stuck on steam only and when you turn the dial to make the coffee it's grinding instead of turning smoothly. you need to remove full top cover. And to do so, you need to remove the two screws hidden under plastic caps next to opening where you add water for espresso or steam. Once the screws are out you can lift the top of slowly unlocking the corners.Tthe dialer knob stay on the top cover. Using a basic plier or locking plier turn the nozzle stem to unlock it from steam position...When you put it back together make sure it's back on steam not so tight and put cover and dialer setting at steam. put back the two screws and covers...Enjoy... from : jenlwe.thecustomeradvantage.com

Its blowing oil out of the oil cap why would this be ?? also i bit of white smoke then came out the back

The oil level may be too high.
Is the filler cap tight?
blow-by in the cylinder piston rign area. A wet test of engine compression will detect this.
A bad had gasket. Engine will be over heating as water is being used up during combustion.
Bad head gasket. Could explain white smoke in exhaust.

If the engine is overheating I would be suspecting a problem in the head area.

Screw top not coming off

If you look under the black plastic cap (between the bottom lip of the cap and the yellow steamer body) you should see a circular hole in the pressure valve that the plastic cap is attached to. I used a flat blade screwdriver and a hammer to tap it anti-clockwise, the whole filler cap could then be removed.
Putting sone lubricant (plumbers lube or vaseline) stopped this happening again.
By the way, you just need to tighten the filler cap finger tight.
Hope this helps.
