Hi,
My HE4 electric dryer is completely dead( no light on panel, no sound at all). but, when I open the door, light comes on inside.
I confirmed power (250V) is OK, I checked the thermal fuse and it is OK.
all the connection seems to be intact.
Do you have any similar experience with this model?

I have the same indications. It power up intermittently with the check lint LED lit. The manual said it will (lintLED) turn off when the start button is press but only gives me a beep when I press start. Lint LED only turn off when I open door. The dryer will function normally. I disassembled lint assemby and clean it thoroughly, including moisture sensor. I run a diagnostics, all LED lit with 88 displayed on panel. The second 8 flash with a continous beep. I check the power cord and removed panel but have not done a continuity check. The dryer is working now.
Another post reported replacing the power cord. I am trying to determine if this is a factory defect. Check the power at the power cord connections inside the dryer. You could have lost power on one leg and the other 120 volt leg is letting the light work. Let me know what the model and serial number is.
