The markings on the motherboard are KT^ DELTA MS 659 OVER : 2 1996. I used a wipe out disk to try to clean up a major virus infestation. The disk worked very well. It wiped every thing out. I thought that by putting a new hard drive in that I could reinstall Win XP pro. but that didn't help. How do I start over? signed dummy

MSI usb problems

Sounds like your O/S was damaged when the old MB failed. I'd boot the computer with yoru system disk and run a scandisk or, in the case of Win Vista or 7, choose the option to repair Windows.

Dont know wer to plug in the power switch which comes from the case. wil be a great help if someone can temme wer to plug the power switch.. thanks

Hi,
On the motherboard the pinouts on the front panel should be colour coded, and marked with letters like in this picture >>>>>
ce10baf.jpg

The connectors are also marked corresponding to where the connect on the motherboard, like in this picture >>>>>>

If the board is not colour coded then the motherboard will marked with the same letters, you may need a strong light and a magnifying glass to see the marks and they are usually at the bottom right of the motherboard.

Regards.

My pc keeps shutting down. It's not a virus. I think it's either power supply or motherboard cmos battery. My MB is MS-7125. I want to replace battery. Where do I get it and what kind?

is it getting overheated?

have you cleaned the heatsinks and fans lately?

Heat id the major killer of computers....it could be you need to clean things up so it stays cooler.

Could be a bad power supply as well.

Computer wont download files, wont let AVG upload new files, redirects me to sites I am not looking for will not let me restore, defrag, play dvds or games. I think i've been high jacked! HELP!!!!

Sounds like you have a MAJOR spyware and or virus infestation. You can try using Spybot to clean the spyware, but usually when it's bad as you're explaining, your best bet is to backup your files to an external or flash drive and wipe the computer, reinstalling a clean copy of Windows (or system restore / system recovery, depending on what software came with the computer).

Remember, even if you get rid of all the spyware, which is doubtful at this point - you still don't undo the damage that the spyware has done, so you may not be any better off after cleaning.

Hope this helps - good luck and remember to rate!
