Question about Century New Magnetek Pool Spa Pump Motor 1081 15 hp

I have an Century Elect. Magnetek Pump for my inground pool. #8-177079-40 The "wear" plastic bearing is worn out. i need a replacement . looks to be about 2 1/4 dia. with a flange. It goes over the impeller. I think it's called a wear bearing ring...?? Help! Can't find one to replace it....

Changing the relay is really quite easy. Once you have located the replacement relay and have it there to install.
Remove the old relay wires one by one and install them one by one onto the new relay thereby preventing any chance of wiring it incorrectly,

It depends on the kind of motor you have. Most do not have brushes. Most pool/spa motors have windings and bearings.

High Ringing Noise


Sounds like it just needs lubricating. It's probably dry seals rubbing against the stainless shaft.

Bad bearings usually make grinding noises. Replacing bearings can be a DIY job, but not a teriffically simple one.
