HP LaserJet 4100 for all applications in windows 7. When I go to print a document and click on print. The print screen exits, the print job doesn't processes, and the print queue stays empty. Noth

I have Windows 7 and I found that running troubleshoot on the printer works most of the time and keeps me from having to shut everything down.

Go to
  • Control Panel>Hardware and Sound>Devices and Printers
  • In the upper left of the window select File
  • In the drop down list select Troubleshoot
This usually fixes the problem, really empties the printer queue, and I don't have to shut everything down.

Print driver (2228C PCL 5C) shows printer queue offline. How can I bring it back online? I have rebooted the printer. There dosen't appear to be an option on the print queue when going in as admin on...

Remove the data cable from the back or size of the printer. Turn the printer on and let it cycle. Then plug back in the data cable. It should show a green light by the cable if you are reconnected.

It just won't work. The light is green but I send a document to the printer and nothing happens. When I turn it on the light is red but if I put the "job cancel" button it will got to green.

Go to "Printers and Faxes" in the "Control Panel" and check to see if your printer shows any documents waiting to be printed, Cancel these documents and Right click your printer icon
select "Properties" and select "Print Test Page" to test your connection...For varies reasons documents sometimes fail to print and the printer queue backs up

Hi,

Follow the steps below to resolve the issue

The print queue and Dock printer icon
When you start a print job, you will see your printer icon appear in your Dock. Click the Printer icon to open the print queue, which is a list of print jobs that are printing, on hold, or paused. The print queue will also display messages sent from the printer.
You can alternatively open the print queue from the Print & Fax pane of System Preferences.

From the Print Queue menu bar, the "Printer" menu has these additional options:

3. wait 5 minutes

Problem printing from my acer aspire one

Can you provide a little more information. Is the printer green power light on but neither of the red lights. Does the printer just sit there doing nothing, or does it go through the motions of printing and produce a blank sheet. If it does nothing, can you check the print queue (double click the printer icon). If there are a mass of jobs waiting (all the times you've attempted to print something), right click and select cancel all jobs. When the print list is clear, right click the printer icon and select properties. Now click on test print. If nothing happens as before, cancel this job also. Then go to control panel and uninstall the Epson printer software (the "driver"). Reboot and reinstall the printer driver. Report back if it's still not behaving.

Printing

If you're using Windows, first make sure the print queue is empty by going into Control Panel, Printers and Faxes. Select your printer and delete any documents that are showing there. If there is nothing showing there, then unplug the printer's power cord for a while to clear its memory.

HP photosmart C3180 stops printing

Posted by JACOB I understand that you are unable to print and when ever u try to print the jobs stuck in queue... When we right click on the icon if we see a option use printer online this shows that the printer is offline, if we see a option use printer offline in the list then this shows that the printer is online status. To resolve the issue we have to first clear the job in queue. Open the printer folder and then double click on the HP printer icon this will show the jobs in queue just right click on each job in queue and select cancel to clear the job in queue if there are still jobs in queue we have to performe the restart the print spooler steps by keeping the usb cable disconnected so that all the jobs are clear when the spooler is restarted. One the spooler is restarted just reconnect the usb cable and check if there are any jobs in queue. If there are no jobs in queue we can move ahead an set the print directly settings. Steps to set the print directly settings: Right click on the printer icon and select properties then click on the advance tab and under it select the option print directly to printer and click on apply and Ok to save the settings. Once done try to print to check with the issue. If the issue presists you can try to check with the port settings. Right click on the printer icon and select properties and then click on the ports tab and check if the virtual usb001 port is selected if not select it and click on apply and ok to save the settings if you don't see any usb port check if you have dot4 port in the port list select it and save the setting and try to print this should resolve the issue.. Once done try to print and if the issue presists you can try to refresh the usb ports. This will re-detect the usb drivers for printer and you will be able to print after restarting the computer.
