You may download the current versions of all (free) Nikon software here.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Nikon Transfer or Picasa.

There should be no installation CD for a Nikon Coolpix s3000. If you connect it to a computer, the computer should see it as an external hard drive.

Photo viewing (and some editing) can be done through Nikon's free software.

ViewNX 2 from Nikon

After that, you will have to find editing software compatible with your computer.

Ive lost my disk and can no longer download my pictures to my pc?

if you have already installed the software from the disk onto your computer, you sholdn't need the disk to get photos from it to your pc. You might try this if you have a card reader on your computer. (if not buy a card reader, they plug into USB) take the SD card out of you camera (assumning you use a sd card) and insert it into the card reader, your comp should see it as a storage device and you'll be able to get your photos of the card much quicker than you ever could with the camera. also look for the software on your computer, it should be listed under Nikon.

Can´t transfer photos to computer

If your camera has both internal memory and a memory card make sure that you try looking in both files when you plug it into your pc. If this fails try re-installing any software that came with your camera, and then try downloading the photos using this software.
