1. Check if you have turned off all sharing services (Torrent, eMule etc.) 2. Check your router security if there isn't any hacked user who downloading trought your wifi. 3. If youre connected by Wifi (i mean from provider, not at home) that is ordinary problem. Too much users or bad signal
4. If you have DSL but connected by WiFi at home try get closer to the AP?for stronger signal
5. If nothing from this help try restarting your router (or if you can get another one e.g. from friend, try it, if it fix the problem then the router is bad and you need a new one)

Ain't it good that your ping is low? ;)
In case you ment your ping is too high:•Try to close all the p2p programs like bittorrent etc.
•Try some other server if you're facing this problem while gaming; the nearer, the better
•go http://www.speedtest.net/ and post your results here

Online play is very choppy and I often get kicked off line.

Hello,
There are a number of things that can cause this, namely your internet speed.

Make sure you have high speed internet with at least 10mbps download and 1mbps upload for best results. Game play can also be affected by wireless. If you are connected to your router via wireless, try using a network cable instead. If your wireless signal quality varies a lot it can cause disruptions in your connection. If you have any P2P programs running such as emule, limewire, torrents, etc... Shut them down as they tend to sap your upload speed which in turn, affects your game. If your computer is not that fast and doesn't play the game without online mode very well, it could be worse online being you are now rendering more elements into the game. Lastly, EA Servers may be over loaded at peak hours which could also affect your game play.

Check your internet speed here http://www.speedtest.net and also your link quality here: http://www.pingtest.net

Make sure your ping is at least below 80ms and your link quality is A or C. Any less and you may have trouble playing some online games. And again, for the speed, it's good to have at least 10mbps download and 1mbps upload. My connection is 50mbps download and 3mbps upload with ping grade A and ping 3ms, so I have never had any problems myself with online games and real-time streaming J

Hope this helps!
Chris

Counter strike steam high ping

Ping is based on your distance from the server, and that's it.. Nothing you can do to make it any better.. You can try game booster to help with the game performance, but still won't help with the ping.. Just choose lower ping servers to play in..

I get kicked due to high ping what should i do?

When choosing a server try to sort the list by ping rate and go with the lowest ping you can that is offering the map and amount of players you are looking for. If you frequently get disconnected or see connection_error on your screen while playing it could be a problem with your actual internet connection dropping packets. To test that you will need to ping a well known server like google or microsoft and see what ping times you get and if any packets are lost. This can by done by clicking start -> run and typing cmd then pressing ok. In the dos box that pops up type ping -n 20 www.google.com and press enter. Significant packet loss and high ping times could mean your connection is saturated from other downloads/uploads, there is some bad cabling or network hardware somewhere, or your ISP is having some problems. If you are connected to a router or other network equipment and assuming you have a high speed connection try connecting directly to the modem provided to you and see if that helps. If the problem continues you will need to contact your internet provider for additional troubleshooting.

Ping is high at closest server. But low at servers much further

hello there i have built many wifi networks and install networks for server hosts.
I would try setting your port forward to the correct port that xbox live runs on.
also uncheck Qos (quality of service) this will throttle bandwidth, you want this off.

you may want to try diffrent servers
you may want to chek hat your background downloader is off by changing it on the launcher settings
try reseting your modem by turning it off for 15-30 secends

High Ping When playing Battlefield 2142 Online

There are a lot of factors that can affect ping rates. Server location, server load, local internet load, and your computer and network setup. The server you access for Battlefield may be too far from you. Try typing "ping 69.147.114.210", at the command prompt,(usually found in "All Programs/Accessories") also without the quotes. You should get numbers in the 40-60ms range. (thats Yahoo.com by the way), then put in the IP number of the Battlefield server. Any returned numbers under 100ms are ok, if your getting higher numbers, check the Battlefield forums to see if there is a server closer to where your located. If your getting numbers over 250-300ms at both sites, then download Lavasofts Adaware SE which is free, and Spybot Search & Destroy, also free and run them both, (once a week after as well) they will remove spyware and adware from your computer. There is a possibility that spyware or adware is using network resources.
