Question about Scotts Miracle Gro Liquafeed Sprayer 6 Refill Combo Pack

1 Answer

I have not used my sprayer for about a year...until today. Connected a new bottle to the sprayer and sprayed some flowerbeds. Sprayed for about twenty minutes and there was no apparent change in the liquid level in the bottle. Could there be a clog somewhere in the feed system? The sprayer is in excellent condition. The hose water pressure was the normal household water pressure. Thanks, Tim Hanrahan Satellite Beach, FL 32937

Tim,

The tube that dips into the bottle is likely clogged. I think it pulls out without too much force. You can rinse water through it.

The miracle grow is very soluble in water so it should take too much rinsing before it clears.

You can also let is soak overnight.

If the tube does not come out easily, don't force it! Soak the whole thing in a 5 gallon bucket of water over night and try it in the morning.

You can also check the sprayer end of the unit. Unscrew it and rinse it well. Be careful that no gaskets/o-rings fall out. I don't think there is one there, just double check and take it apart over a table to be sure (don't unscrew it in the yard).

Good luck.

Please provide correct paint viscosity to be used for Airless Paint Sprayer (item 60600). Include the method (standard) used to measure the paint viscosity. Thank you.

I had an airless sprayer years ago. I couldn't work out how to thin the paint either. The end result was if its too thick and wouldn't spray, I added more thinners. If it sprayed blobs and ran everywhere, I added a bit more paint. Not very professional but I got it down pat after a few errors. I wrote on the paint can I was using, the mix that worked the best.

Can I dilute Scotts Miracle Grow for use in my Ortho dial spray bottle?

Yes, you can use Miracle-Gro Water Soluable Plant Food in the Ortho Dial N Spray hose-end sprayer. Simply set the dial on the Dial N Spray to 4 ounces. The label rate for Miracle-Gro All Purpose Plant Food is 1 tablespoon per gallon of water. To make 8 gallons of finished spray, measure 8 rounded tablespoons of plant food into the Dial N Spray jar and fill the jar with water. Mix thoroughly. Set the dial at 4 ounces. When you have sprayed until jar is empty, you will have applied 8 gallons of properly diluted spray. Hilary@Scotts

What setting do I use on my ortho dial and spray for fertilizing plants and vegetables outdoors? Thanks

If you are using Miracle-Gro Water Soluable All Purpose Plant Food in the Ortho Dial N Spray Hose End Sprayer, follow the directions below :

  • Set the dial to 4 oz
  • The sprayer can make up to 8 gallons of spray. Add the correct amount of product to the jar for number of gallons you wish to make. (Example - The dilution rate is 1 tablespoon per gallon, and you want to make 8 gallons, put 8 tablespoons of Miracle-Gro Plant Food in the jar.)
  • Multipy 4 by the number of gallons you are making and fill to that oz line (Example - If you are making 8 gallons, 4x8=32 so fill to the 32 oz mark with water).
  • Prior to spraying, mix product around in the jar until granules are dissloved.
  • Spray until the jar is empty. When it is empty, you have sprayed 8 gallons of product.
If you any questions or if you are using another product, please give us a call at 800-225-2883, and we will be happy to figure out a setting for you!

The contents in the bottle doesn't come out

Open the continer is there a small piece of hose connected to the lid if not connect it. the water creates a suction through the hose when it passes over the hole inside the continer to spray the contents of the bottle.

The top sprayer is not spraying any water and the middle sprayer has water except it does not have enough pressure of water to spin around the sprayers. What do I need to do to fix the problem

All sprayed water comes from the pump located at the lower deck. Remove all parts from the lower spray assembly (note position and orientation of each part) down to the deck. There should be a large filter screen at the bottom that commonly becomes plugged with food and hard water deposits. Soak the screen in a mixture of hot water, white vinegar, and dish detergent for an hour or two until the deposits come free. Check around the pump area and the deck openings for any debris plugging. Reassemble in reverse order, but check all three spray arms for spray hole plugging or split seams. Hope this helps!

Round up accident sprayed on grass when i was spraying sidewalk, the lawn about 2 inches in is browning what should i do?

Hi, this stuff works fast so , if you can isolate the affected plot that was sprayed, this will help. you can do this by scalping the spot that was sprayed. pull up as much of the affected grass and the roots as well. the roots will ultimately spread this over the entire yard if there is a considerable saturation due to a rain event or watering situation. do not water this affected section of the yard until you have extracted the grass that was unintentionally sprayed.

Please rate and god bless:)

I have a ortho tree & shrub spray-ette hose end sprayer. The instructions say to add product and fill to gallon mark, then attach to hose and turn on water and spray. It isn't plugged the water comes...

sound like the inside suction hose is loose or not fitting correctly. i had a similar problem and wrapped some duct tape around the tube then snugly fit it inside the cap. no outside air suction and it works fine. i've had mine going on 15 years and use it constantly.

F2E3 WILL NOT TURN ON

this sometimes works; remove power from the range unplug etc. then: get some 90% isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol from the drug store put a sprayer on the bottle and saturate all the controls and wires etc. that got wet then wait overnight or. untill all surfaces are dry and, plug in your range; your range should work again
