Most of the newer models you work from the front only. The heating coils are on the rear bulkhead of the dryer behind the drum. Unplug the dryer and take it outside. Set it on a truck tailgate or a table.

GE profile dryer,Runs fine but no heat

need to have the heat element checked with a multimeter and visually if u can and look for burns and corrosion and breaking of the wire connections. Also have the thermostats checked, Im assuming its electric and not gas? the thermal cut off may be bad and the hi-lo thermostat, these can shut heat off from the dryer. Ive replaced the element on my G.E profile and it wasn't all that hard rather simple.

GE Dryer DDE7200SBLWW -- dryer will dry on high heat for non permanent press clothes, but when you set timer and selector to Permanent Press it will not heat. Is this a thermostat issue or is the timer...

This dryer has 2 different cycle thermostats One is for 135f and the other is for 125 f. Maybe the 125f tstat is faulty? I would check that before ordering a timer. A good cleaning might do it also. Clogged dryer will overheat you know.

My GE dryer, Model no. DDE7200SBLWW, does not produce any heat. I cleaned all the lint, and have good airflow. All of the thermostats (4) tested good as well as the thermal fuse. With the dryer running on...

do you have 3 terminals to the heating element,if so check the neutral terminal,if this terminal breaks from heat stress the element can't function, not all have 3 terminals,if only 2 terminals then make absolutely sure theres 240 volts across these terminals,if not it will not heat,if you have some jumper leads of the correct size, bypass all thermostats, cycling switches and the thermal fuse just to make sure they metered out as good, also just to be sure check the terminal block where the power enters the unit for any high resistance or burned connections,if theres a hi resistance it will show 240 volts on a meter, but you won't get enough current thru the connection to properly heat the element, also flip the breaker on and off as these can be spookey at times too

Need some assistance with a DDE7200SBLWW/model ge dryer

If the dryer is getting hot but not turning, you most likely need a new drum belt. If the belt is ok then you will need a new motor.
