Question about Bosch 24 in. SHU43 Built-in Dishwasher

Open Question

I have a Bosch dishwasher shu66c. The rinse agent dispenser must be clogged because I haven't filled it for months and when I went to refill it, it seemed to still be full. Any ideas on how to get the rinse agent to dispense? Thanks!

SOURCE: Rinse agent dispenser

The only "fast" way is to remove the dispenser completely and rinse with warm water until clean! (by removing front panel and then disconnecting jumpers and clips...can be tricky to do alone, as you need 3 hands to pry clips from dispenser to remove from door!) Oshie.

SOURCE: detergent dispenser doesn't empty completely

The detergent reservoir should pop open allowing the wash water to "wash" the detergent clean. It sounds like your DW is not "spraying" with full force. From your description, it sounds like your water pump is malfunctioning OR your drain is clogged with food and the water flow is restricted, because the wash water is the original rinse water from the first cycle and it recirculates. Check and make certain your drain is not clogged before you call the repairman or replace the machine.

SOURCE: new dishwasher, rinse agent dispenser leaks,

With any new appliance, contact the manufacturer and utilize the warranty. Replacing parts on your own is costly when you don't need to and frankly, with the problem you've described, the insulation will need to be replaced and possibly many of the electronic components in the door as well, not to mention the rinse aid dispenser!.

I'd also be concerned that the door panel might be prone to rusting now that it's been soaked, etc.

Call the Bosch customer service group at 1 800 944 2904 and see what they can do for you.

By the way, there have been several product recalls on the SHE series of dishwasher in 2009 alone. While some are voluntary, another was mandatory. Again, utilize produce warranties.

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!

The last few times I filled the rinse dispenser and ran the dishwasher I notice the arrow showing the rinse aid is almost empty. Impossible. What is going on with this?

THE ANSWER IS YES. FROM YOUR DESCRIPTION IT SOUNDS LIKE THE DISPENSER PUMP OR RESERVOIR IS LEAKING. YOU NEED TO REPLACE THE WHOLE SOAP DISPENSER. ALTHOUGH DISH WASHERS NEED THE HELP OF RINSE AID IT IS ONLY DISPENSED A DROP OR TWO AT A TIME DURING THE FINAL RINSE CYCLE PART OF THE WASH. HOPE THIS HELPS AND THANK YOU FOR READING THIS.

Dishwasher won't allow me to add rinse agent

Well, you don't have to rip the WHOLE machine apart, just the door! Usually takes about 6 to 8 screws (using a T15 torx screw driver). Depending on the model, you might only need to take off the lower half of the door (all below the control console), or you might have to take out all the door screws. Then remove the detergent dispenser (6 more screws, this time a 3/16" hex head). Then you can remove the wires to it (unplug the DW first!), and pop the dispenser out. Take it over to your sink and turn it upside down and shake it. You might try running hot water over the inlet port to clear up any dried-up residue. You will probably get some water into areas you don't want (like the coil and connectors), but when you are done, you can use a can of compressed air (or "duster" cans) to blow the water out. If that doesn't work, then you will probably need to replace the whole dispenser; but hey, you're already halfway there - you've removed the old dispenser. You can buy new dispensers at SearsPartsDirect.com, RepairClinic.com, EasyApplianceParts.com or AppliancePartsPros.com.

Rinse agent not dispensing

Hi I will try and explain how it works , if you look at the cover for the rinse it has small slots on it as the water splashes around inside it and this makes the agent come out if this cover is blocked or dirty it won't let any come out .. I always tell ever one to use less soap then the box says to use and always use a premium type soap , not the wal-mart brand , think about t if you have to clean your dishes after they are washed then why have a dishwasher ? I always say that is what teenagers are for

There is a rinse aid dispenser on the door.

Buy some from your local supermarket, open the dispenser and fill it. Close the lid and the light should disappear.

Rinse dispenser not dispensing the rinsing agent.

not a very common issue, the unit only spits a few drops of rinse aid every use, so assuming you filled the compartment , that will hold enough rinsing aid for 35-40 washes before needing to be refilled. is it possible taht you havnet waited long enough for it to use this much detergent?
