Hello
It usually takes 24 hours before the freezer gets below 32.f
Try lowering the temp in the freezer a little.

You need to be at 29.to 30.f

Check the compressor and condensor fan area under the fridge for dust or dirt and clean it out with a vacuum .

There could be two more possibilities.
1 bad thermostat.try to replace.I doubt it though.
2 Low on freon. This would be a service call.More then likely its low on freon.

There is a high and low side. The type of freon is listed on the model# plate.Possibly R 12.
The amount is usually by weight or ounces. To obtain the correct charge you would need to evacuate the entire system.Pull a vacum with a vacum pump then weigh in the freon using a scale.
A easier way is..With the compressor running put a small amount of freon gas in the low side and watch the pressure on your low side guage. So say we wanted a temp of 28.f using R 12.We would need a low side pressure of 26.9 psig.
Here is a link to a pressure temp chart

I dont belive the defrost is broken only beacause your getting 32.f in the freezer.I would however have a look at that fan inside the fridge. That could be a good reason for the big difference in temp between the freezer and refridge. Also check that there is no ice or anything blocking the vent from the freezer to the refigerator.

The age would be in the model or serial#.The manufacturer would be able to tell you that.
As far as location of the timer. It may be under near the compressor.

20.f in the freezer is a little cold but its up to you.35 to 48.in the refridge should be good.

My ice maker wont make ice and the water line works and nthing is clogged, what should i do?

So check if there is water in the ice cube tray. Where the cubes sit before they would usually be popped out by those 8 plastic tabs in a row. If there is water in that tray then check the freezer temp. 33 f is cold but will never make ice. If no water then you have a bad water valve control in fridge.

The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent between the freezer and fridge. the fan in the freezer blows air through it. there is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control.

Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp. try to chec in the user guide.

Hope helps.

Jenn-Air bottom freezer ice maker not working

I took the arm of the ice-making machine out of the slot and put it back in, pushing it snugly inside the slot, then raised and lowered it several times. Then, with the arm in the up (stop making ice) position, I felt inside the ice-making tray, where I noted there were ice cubes as well as a sheet of ice at the base of the ice-making tray. I poured approximately 24 oz. of hot tap water into the tray to melt the sheet of ice. I turned the freezer temp control to "warmer". I think the freezer temp setting was too cold, causing the ice maker to freeze the water before it could make cubes. I have a working ice maker again!

Ice maker not dumping as frequently and cubes freezing one large chunk

The first thing I would check is the cleanliness of the condenser coil under the fridge. Make sure the fan under there is running, and that the coil is clear of dust. The ice maker requires 15 degrees for a period of time before it will make ice and dump. If the temp in the freezer is colder than this, then it is likely the ice maker needs replaced. They can be replaced fairly easily with just a couple tools. (1/4" nut driver and a flat screw driver). There is a plug where it plugs into the freezer side wall, and a bent tube that supplies water to the tray. If not sure what to do, have a service tech look at it.

Ice maker makes very little ice

my under the counter ice machine makes very little ice. we just paid $600 to have a repairman put a new motor in it (although I don't think that was ever the problem) because it would always run, it was just not making any volume of ice. now it's been fixed and the repairman brought it back under th counter yesterday and it's STILL not making more than maybe 1 cup of ice in over 24 hours. I can hear the water running when Iopen it, but just don't get the bin full of ice like it used to get. HELP!!
