Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
This type of problem is not easy to troubleshoot using this method of communication, but I will do my best!
It's not the ink cartridge that is causing the problem if you have tried different ones and still get the same result. Try checking the color profile you are currently using in your printers settings and adjust the ink saturation. Here are the steps to adjust these settings:
Open a color document in Microsoft Word or a photo in a program that has "File, Edit, View" commands in the menu at the top.
With the document and/or picture open in that program, click on "file" at the top of your screen and slide down to "photo" and click on it. This will open the print screen.
In the print screen, click on the box to the right that says "preferences" on it. This will open your print settings.
I don't know what operating system (Win Xp, Vista ect) you have or which program you will use to change these settings - the screens after this point may be different on your end.
After you click on preferences you should see areas where you can change things like the size of paper you are going to print on or the type of item you want to print (document vs picture). There might be tabs at the top to go to other areas with additional printing settings on them too. What you are going to look for is a color profile, or area with a slider that allows you to correct or change the amount of ink you are going to use when printing.
Click on each tab to check for graphics settings that includes color profiles to choose from. Try changing the settings and then print a test page and come back to this same area if it does not correct the print to normal. Keep trying until you have checked each setting and tested a print page afterwards and if you cannot get the colors to print correctly - go back to your question in Fixya and use the comment or reply link to report your findings to me. I will help you troubleshoot until we find a solution for your problem.
