Since you are adding one, it means you do have a computer that is already working with this router. It means you router is been configured already. So if you need to add another one, its very simple.

For wired connection:
-just get an Ethernet cable long enough to reach your computer then connect the ends on the available Ethernet port located on the back of the router and the other end should be connected on the Ethernet port on your computer.

For wireless connection:
Look for a wireless icon on the bottom part of your screen near the clock. For Windows Vista and Windows 7 just click it and will show you the wireless networks that are available. For Windows XP, right click the icon and select "View available wirleess networks". As soon as you see the list of wireless networks, select yours and click "Connect". If your network is secure type the security key that been setup on the wireless router, if not secured it should connect immediately.

My wifi doesn't connect to any routers but it connect to my laptop ad-hoc.Still i am not able to use internet through ad-hoc.I have tried restoring my iphone, reset and erase settings, reset network...

Ad-hoc is a computer to computer connection.
You need to change the wireless configuration to Access Point (Infrastructure) mode with encryption.

Your wireless card in your computer or laptop needs to be configured with the router's wireless settings eg. the SSID and encryption key
The encryption key (network key) is in your wireless router, without this key the wireless router won't allow the computer or laptop to connect to this wireless router.
The WEP, WPA, WPA2 encryption key is in your router's wireless settings. Log into your router and got to the wireless settings, you will need to get the SSID and the encryption key. Then go to your computer or laptop's wireless card and configure it with the router's SSID and encryption key, so it will then connect to the wireless router and the Internet.

I can't get the internet sharing to work. i had installed and configure the wireless router, Linksys WRTG45 connected to a desktop pc running win7. internet sharing is enabled on the modem. now we're using...

If you are using the wireless router then you will not use the Ad-hoc mode.
You aloso don't need to share the internet on the modem.
make sure that if you conecnt the computer directly to the modem, it goes on line.
If it is on line then you can connect the modem to the router and computer to the router.
open the setup page and change the settings of the router.
once ytou setup the router then you should be able to go on line on all the computer.
You just need to connect to the network on other computers.

Adding another computer

Likely you have an encryption key. On another machine, go to http://192.168.1.1, you can find the encryption information there or you can reset it (and your other computers).

I purchase a wireless interprets 405> Do i need a router foir the wireless

X1270 is not a wireless printer...
I find nothing on an Interprets 405...
If you have purchased a wireless printer device, your computer will need a wireless card.
If your computer has wireless built in and you have no router it is called an 'Ad Hoc' network. The printer must support an 'Ad Hoc' network or you will need a wireless router.
'Ad Hoc' networks are notoriously insecure, so a wireless router is a very wise choice. It helps keep you safe from hackers on the Internet as well as it functions as a home firewall and network host.
If this does not help, please give me more detail.

My computer doesn't reconize the router

your computer will not show a new hardware added wizard. Once you plug in the router, it will assign a IP Address to the computer. Using the IP address of the router, you can log on to the web interface of the router and set it up .
Thanks

If you don't remember what the key is, log on to the router and create another one. You will have to change the key on all other wireless devices on the network.

Problems adding new MAC address

Ok... this is an easy fix..first, turn off all the equipment including any laptops with wi-fi. then TURN ON YOUR MAIN ROUTER FIRST. Secondly turn on the cable modem..be sure its connected to the already turned on router. This will establish the router as your address the cable modem will set up as the main mac address. Then go ahead and boot up any other routers, and computers and wifi... That should keep everything connected because the router will delegate all the addresses to everything and the modem should remain "happy" with the router addres..

Let me know if this helps... and if you need anymore help.

Cannot setup home wireless network between computers

Hi!
Since all computers are online, you do not need to change any setting on the router for the computers to share file or resources.

If you are using Windows XP - try this link:

For Vista:

I hope that helps!

Good luck and have a nice say!
