OLEVIA LT23HVX Please clarify how you got your dead Olivea to fire up. I plugged a basic USB cable into the unit but no luck? Was your camera cord also plugged into a power source? Thanks, Jeff please reply directly at: wisconsinreeses@yahoo.com

The other end of the USB cord was plugged in to my computer, thereby supplying power to the port on the TV. Unfortunately, this proved to be a temporary solution and eventually it quit working. Now I have taken the TV apart, removed the power supply, and am replacing the bad capacitors.

what kind of cable are you connecting with? If you are using a Composite or S-Video cable perhaps you may want to use the VGA cable instead and see if that corrects the issue.

Olevia LT23HVX not powering up. I've checked the

It sounds like the power supply had finally died, the top of the caps must be perfectly flat. Do you check and see if it even putting out the 5vdc standby power. Please post back with more details as to what you find, pictures will help also. Bad caps can look normal but they can have high ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance).

Red lite comes on but tv will not power up.

Follow the solution for service port 'jump start' with a usb plug. Plug your cell phone charger in next to the TV. Touch the metal prongs of the service port with the metal part of the usb until you get a brief 'flash' on the TV. Then turn on the tv set. It takes patience and a flash light to do this, so you can see what your touching, as my husband couldn't get it to work, but I could.
