Hi! The problem may be the pressure balance cartridge needs replacing. I have seen trash (small rocks -a piece solder-Teflon tape-rust from pipes) cause this problem, but you will have to remove the the cartridge to find out.

I have a gainsborough ps1600 shower. Water pressure has dropped. Doesn't help when head is removed. Can still adjust temperature but not speed/power

If the water pressure dropped at a sudden moment, it sounds more like an issue with the water pressure leading into your shower, and not a problem with the shower its self. Try seeing if other water sources in the same area of your shower have the same low water pressure issue.

Shower force

Are you wanting to change/switch the hot and cold range of the shower or the temperature max and min? As for the range, the Monitor pressure balance valve may be having build up or problems. This valve controls the mixture of hot and cold water. To fix this, you will need to turn off the water supply, take the pipes apart and clean out the valve (I would recommend a professional). As for the max and min, you may just need to check the water heater pressure in your house. It may not be the faucet at all.

It sounds like the cartridge has to be changed. Pressure balance is not working in the cartridge.

I installed a 30 gallon gas hot water tank and sometimes i get strong water pressure but my hot water doesn't last long enough for 2 showers, but if i have low water pressure we can get in 4 showers. Any...

At a high pressure you are consuming more hot water. It sounds to me like the water heater isn't big enough for what you need. You can try turning up the heat thermostat on the water tank. If the water gets hotter you won't need as much for each shower and it will also recover faster at a higger temperature.

A plumber has just installed a shower which has uneven water supply pressure. The low pressure hot water from a head tank had a 3/4" pipe supply whichin spite of being questioned the plumber has reduced...

Hello,
You aren't the first to run into this dilemna.

The size of thhe pipe will affect your system in this way.
If you start 85lbs of pressure in the water main, The meterhas a 1" pipe inlet and a 3/4" outlet. The meter reduced thhe pressure to60 psi and then it is reduced again at the point of entering the structure dropping to 1/2" pipe. By resucing the pressure is upped approx 5-7 lbs. The point of regulator and pipe size is the only time the pressure changes. The lowest pressure will drive a rainbird spribkler, actually several. But too many rainbirds won't affect by pressure as much as volume. The pressure will push whatever is available.By reducing the 3/4 to 1/2" didn't affect your pressure as much as it did your volume.. The reason your hot water starts to run cold sooner is that now you do not have the volume ratio between the cold and hot.It 's 1:1 now instead of 1.25:1. Hot more than cold. It takes more hot water to heat cold water than ittakescold to cool hot. Plus, the hot water you use is being replaced by cold water and that water is cooling what hot water is in the tank as the heat moves to the cold. The heater cannot heat al that water fast enough, but the cold water line is happy as can be.No pressure changes and no temperature changes. Before, you had to turn up the cold to bring the temp down to comfortable or safe. I just had my shower redone and everything is the sme size. Here is something to think about. Ck the shower head. They clog up and cause poor mixing over time. Yoou should be ok. How old is the water heater? Over time they get a build up of calcium and lime which is very detrimental to the heaters efficiency and recovery time. I hope this all made sense to you. At times when we have things done right it seems to be wrong because we are accustomed to the way it was. You will get accustomed to it and find your water heater gobbling less energy. Good luck and I hope it all works out, There is no need to fret. Sincerely -Ned-

Hansgrohe 06358620 shower not hot enough

Remove the handle by loosening the screw near the bottom. You should see a plastic ring, probably green, that is the hot water safety. Adjust it so that the handle will turn further for more hot water. It most likely pulls out, then turn it left, reinsert and reattach the handle.

No hot water pressure on kohler bath / shower faucet

Try draining the system and apply air pressure (min 30psi) to each faucet. Open other hot water faucets to allow pressure to vent. Next try draining and cleaning the hot water tank.

No hot water, and low pressure

Do you get hot water at other faucets? If not, check to see if the valves at your hot water heater are completely open. You may also have a blockage somewhere in the hot water line.

If you aren't getting hot water at just one faucet, it's likely that the hot water side of the valve needs to be repaired. It could be that there is a blockage in the valve that needs to be cleaned out, or seals in the valve may need to be replaced. Rebuild kits are available for many shower faucets at your local hardware store.

Be sure to turn off the water supply before attempting to disassemble the shower valve.

Not enough hot water, has to do with a shower valve

Hello, first if any water supply hot or cold is turned off, you will experience trickling as you mention. You must have both cold and hot in order to adjust the temperature on your valve. if you had a plumber intall this unit you should ask him to adjust it. Otherwise here is how:
Rotate the handle counterclockwise to stop and let water run till cold water is purged, check
temperature. Rotate handle to off, remove handle parts (see Disassembly in your manual) and temperature limit stop, rotate clockwise to decrease and counterclockwise to increase maximum hot water temperature, reinstall temperature limit stop and handle (TIP: Do not screw handle in until desired maximum temperature is achieved) Repeat steps until desired maximum
temperature is achieved
