Error message: TBR6 (tm1) You have to take out the battery and insert it again, then the device will work again :-)

I have Philips AVENT DECT baby monitor , the problem is the screen of the parent item was broken i can't see anything but we can hear and talk from it How can i fix the screen again ? Thanks in...

Hi ghadah83,

Doesn't appear there is a fix for a 'broken screen,' however, you may want to visit the Philips Support Site to look further into your issue:

http://ow.ly/5XZI7

You can also reach Consumer Care by calling 1-800-542-8368. Below is an FAQ that might help, too.

Question
Why does my parent unit not turn on when I place it on the charging base? Answer

Your battery may be flat. It may take up to 1 hour before you can use your baby monitor again. If this happens, we recommend that you fully recharge your battery before use.

Hope this helps. Let me know by rating this solution. Thanks!

Hello need to replace the parent unit battery from my Philips Avent Scd520 Dect Baby Monitor. Where can I buy a new one in Toronto?

This is not a solution. :(

In Toronto, or indeed anywhere!? I am with you, Pao, the silly parent unit battery (which is a simple wiring case around 2 AAA batteries) can't be purchased anywhere, as far as I can tell. Yet it's so simple, it must be identical to something else out there.

If I find out what, I'll post it here.

My philips avent 1q24 electronic steam wont come on

Most likly a bad capacittor on the little circuit board inside the unit. As it is thermosealed you cant open it without voiding the warranty. The repair however is fairly simple and anyone with rudamentary electronics experience can fix it for you. If you are still having problems let me know on devar11@yahoo.com

HOW TO DE SCALE THE Philips AVENT Digital Bottle

Mix one sachet of citric acid* (10g) with 200ml/7oz of water. Pour solution into the
empty warmer. DO NOT place a bottle, jar or cup into the warmer when de-scaling.
Close the lid of the warmer and programme the warmer to run with 310ml/11oz of
milk from frozen. After the warming cycle has ended, leave the solution to cool for
30 minutes before emptying the warmer and rinsing with tap water. Wipe the inside
and outside of the warmer with a damp cloth only.
OR:
Pour 100ml/3.5oz of vinegar mixed with 200ml/7oz of cold water into the warmer.
Allow liquid to stand in the unit until any limescale has dissolved. DO NOT place a
bottle, jar or cup into the warmer when de-scaling. DO NOT start the warming cycle.
Empty the unit and rinse thoroughly. Wipe the inside and outside of the warmer with
a damp cloth only.

Philips Avent SCD520 Baby monitor interference

cold be intefernce from any other electronic device... potentially at a neighbours. even though mifddle of the night, could be microwave, kettle, electric blanmket, heaitng system, etc etc ... any appliance. If on the 2.4ghz wavelength could also be a computer wireless network nearby? good luck with finding and isolating - worst case, take it back and get one on the 1.8ghz ... which is reserved for these devices, and cordless phones, etc
