Reboot or Recover? If you have a Factory Recovery Partition, use this procedure, a Recovery will return your Laptop to the day it came out of the box, YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR DATA, and you must install ALL Windows, Acer updates and software you installed, a Restore will return to a date selected, if your Laptop has Restore enabled in software. New acer says password incorrect

Try a system recovery, if it has a recovery partition. Remove any madia,DVD, CD, USB, etc. Unplug, remove battery, plug in, push the on/off button, immediately prees and hold the ALT+F-10 if that doesn't work, reboot and use F-10, to load the restore/recovery software, do a factory recovery to return to factory settings. You may want to write down the password and put in a safe location, or put your user name with a administartor password to override.

How do I restart my ACER ASPIRE 5532 from the hard drive.

Acer Aspire eRecovery
The Acer Aspire eRecovery tool comes in both a DOS and a Windows version with the Windows version offering more features. To open the DOS version, boot up your computer and press the Alt + F10 key combination when you see the Acer splash screen. To open the Windows version, allow Windows to load and then open Acer eManager followed by double-clicking the eRecovery link.
Using the eRecovery tool is fairly simple once you have it launched. You can either restore your Acer Aspire to factory settings from the hidden partition or with the recovery CDs. Once eRecovery loads, you may be prompted to enter a password. According to Acer, the default password is: 000000. If you have not changed the password, enter these six zeros when prompted.

Hi,

You can launch the recovery option by pressing 'F10' on startup, or if that fails, you can do a system recovery from the ACER EManagement 'Backup and Restore' option in Windows itself.
