Re: printer photo paper
Scrapbooks work very well and they come in such beautiful sets of ornamentation etc. that you can create a beautiful wedding album. Or you can purchase a beautiful 3 ring binder and use the more expensive plastic sleeves that are sturdy and insert all of your 8 X11 pages into them. Or you can make every document or photo that you print 8x10 by setting up your printer to print that way. Good luck to you!!

Are you trying to print photographs on plain paper? Epson WorkForce printers are designed for fast office-type printing, not photo quality printing.
If you use photo-paper (specifically, Epson photo paper), and "best" quality setting, it should be better. Your color may not exactly match what you see on your screen, though. Welcome to the wonderful world of "color management".
We have become aware of an incompatibility
between the ZoomAlbum software and the Canon PIXMA printers listed
below. This issue applies only when using the ZoomAlbum software to
print Photo Album covers with Mac OS X. Affected Models PIXMA MP240, MP250, MP480, MP490, MP560, MP620, MP640, MP980, MP990, MX320, MX330, MX860, iP3600, iP4600, iP4700 Printers Phenomenon The affected PIXMA printers are designed to feed paper via the rear
tray with a center-feed mechanism and two paper guides. However, the
ZoomAlbum software was intended to feed paper from the rear tray in
printers with a right-feed mechanism and a single paper guide. As a
result, when using the ZoomAlbum software with Mac OS X to print Photo
Album covers with the affected Canon PIXMA printers, the printed image
may shift. Countermeasure To remedy this problem, please use the following settings when printing Photo Album covers with Mac OS X:
1. Click System Preferences
2. Click Print & Fax
3. Select your Canon PIXMA printer as the default printer
4. Select DL Envelope for Default Paper Size in Page Setup Note: Be sure to change the Default Paper Size back to Letter after printing the cover.
This idea may seem like a
no brainer, but I am not justtalking about printing out images from the
web. I am not even talking aboutprinting out a photo from your family
vacation. What I am talking about isusing your printer to print photos
that look like you just had them developedprofessionally. With some
high quality glossy photo paper, photo quality inkcartridges and a bit
of editing skills, you can print all of your favoritephotos with ease
without needing any professional help. And the beauty of itis, most
people use digital cameras these days rather than traditional 35
mmfilm, so the transfer is easy. You can even plug your camera directly
into someprinter models and print photos right off of the camera.
Follow steps below
Load photo paper or plain paper with the print side facing you. Open the All-In-One Center. Click the Saved images tab. From the Creative Tasks section, select Print an album page with various photo sizes. Click Change the category of layouts listed above. From the Selected Layouts box, select for example Only Borderless. Click OK. Select a paper size for the photos <- use DIN/4 to print on whole page From the Page Layout area, select a page layout. Drag the photos onto the page. Click Printer Settings. Select the paper size and paper type. <- use DIN/4 to print on whole page From the Quality menu, select Photo, and click OK. Click Print Now.
Nothing to adjust feed mechanics. If it's temporaly print, you must feeed paper 1 by 1, and when printer grab paper, push paper by hand. If it's routine print, you can adjust the pick up rubber at paper feedr mechanic. Add double tape ( 1 mm, soft) below top rubber. I have done it, and printer can grab/feed paper up to 350 grams.
This printer isn't designed to take heavy paper, only office standard, and slightly heavier for smarter documents / photos. Best idea would be to print one on smart bright white paper (or desired colour), and take it to a copy shop where they can print onto card. The problem is that the thin paper will easily roll round the rollers at the back, however the thicker paper can't, and therefore jams with the rollers tickling the end of it.
when you hit 'PRINT' the window that opens up to complete the job will have a button called 'preferences'. Check to see that the paper selected isn't photo paper. You will have you choice of paper type thickness and size.
