Welcome to FixYa!

  • If the label is already worn off, you could get the information by going to your computer's start menu, right click on computer, select properties and you'll your computer specifications there.
  • If this one will not work, go to the start menu again look for the word run or go to the start menu, click all programs, click accessories then look for the word run and then click it. And then type on the field dxdiag, press enter and it will show the specification as well.
Hope this helps! Thank you for using FixYa!

Intermec PX4i label printer. Paper/Ribbon loaded correctly, but ribbon is 'rippled' meaning barcode label being printed has white lines across it. Any ideas?

Ribbon Wrinkle as it called can be caused due to the main feed rollers (that touch the ribbon or the label) being slightly worn. Even if you have a sligh gradient on the roller(s) it will pull ever so slightly to one side. If you need the parts then please do not hesitate to contavct me. Jack Woodworth - Codeo UK, 01179064587

The serial # info. label, under the seat, is worn out. Illegible. How else can I find out the info I need to order parts? Is there another place to look for this info.?

You may well have to find someone with a similar or identical machine and get the model number off of it. The model number is what is important, the serial number can not get you anything as far as parts.

Labels aren't feeding through at right length

This sounds like a calibration issue.

Follow the instructions below to re-calibrate

Three readings are required:

I have a Dell's PowerEdge 1800 server and the server's fans are making a loudy noise. Is there any way of quieting them down? Thanks, Ricardo

The fan bearings are worn, it is best to replace them.
As a temporary measure you can insert a small drop of oil on the bearing, the bearing can be accessed by carefully lifting the label in the center of the fan.

Where are the power window relays located? I checked the fuse box under the hood but none of them are labeled 'window'.

This circuit does not require a relay. It does have a fuse. the fuse box in the passenger area will have this fuse. this fuse box is in one of two places. If you have a small coin holder on the left hand side of the steering wheel check behind it, if not there look under the dash on the drivers side near the kick panel.

We have 13 s4m Zebra printers. We try to change from thermal to direct. Which was no problem during our initial test. But when we try to change actual printer that was being place inside a cooler we kept...

Changing the setting on the printer The default setting is thermal transfer for this printer. You can change the setting on the printer so it doesn't show you the error any more by doing the following: Press SETUP/EXIT Press Plus (+) to scroll through the different parameters About the 6th parameter is "PRINT METHOD" Press "SELECT" to select the parameter Press Plus (+) or Minus (-) to change to Direct Thermal (no ribbon) Press "NEXT/SAVE" to save your changes If you make the changes to you printer and as soon as it prints it reverts back to thermal transfer, then your label software or your driver are overriding it and you need to make the change there.
Changing the setting in your label software - this will also change the settings for this label only Open your label Make the change under "label setup" or "page setup" inside your label software.
Changing the setting on the driver - this will also change the default settings for all future labels that you create Go to control panel and devices and printers. Locate the driver for your label printer and make the change under "Printing Preferences".
