Some cameras contain CMOS battery.. CMOS batteries is the supply for the internal memory to save some setting even if you turn off the cam..

Try to check if there is a CMOS battery in your Digicam.. How? Open the casing of your cam, if you can.. When you saw a small battery on it, try to replace it..

You should know where to buy that type of CMOS battery..

Selected resolution will not save

You need to change the setting in the Menu of ALL RESET from ON to OFF so that it will retain any setting changes that you make. To do this Press Ok button - right arrow to Mode Menu - down arrow to Setup tab - right arrow to All Reset - right arrow and choose Off and then press Ok. This will retain the mode setting until you manually change it again or change all reset back to On.
