You must open your slvr then try to clean it with some PCB cleaner. try to put it back then test this will fix your problem. if still cannot you must change your Keypad board.

If the phone was on when it was dropped in the water it probably will never work because the circuits inside will have been compromised. If the phone was off, remove the battery and it can be put in an oven set to 'warm' and left for several hours. This dries out the circuits an sometimes lets the phone work. Usually the phone gets damaged when it is dropped in water.

My n900 nokia drop into water

Wet Cell Phone
Immediately remove the phone from the water, turn off the cell phone, remove the battery and SIM card. To dry out the cell phone put it in a large plastic bag with silica gel drying crystals then put it in a warm sunny place for several days or in front of a warm fan heater for several hours. Reassemble the phone and hope it will work properly again, but if does not work then it is faulty and you need a new cell phone.

My phone will be fine, but then suddenly it freezes with a black screen and the buttons flashing continuously.

Same thing happened to one of my phones after i dropped it several times. I ended up having to just get a new phone because pulling the battery out stopped working it would just stay frozen and would turn itself off and on over and over again until the battery died

I dropped my iPhone in water. What should I do?

useually unrepairable but take the back off then remove battery and sim then use a hair dryer to try and dry out the moisture sometimes it works depends on how much water damage is in the main board

My screen freezes and I can't do anything with it involving the screen..shut down and battery removal doesn't resolve...can't access any functions with screen, totally frozen.

mine did the same exact thing. my first impression (that i only had for 3 1/2 months) decided to completely freeze the touchscreen, when i had absolutely no water damage and had never dropped it. i tried EVERYTHING took out the battery and the sim for an entire day, turned it on and off, and nothing worked. One thing i know, try your best not to drop this phone because my friend also had to get a new one because she dropped it several times, and they are VERY sensitive, and dropping it throws off the calibration, as does getting liquid on the screen. I went to a local at&t store and they said I would be eligible for a new phone because I had not caused the phone to stop working, but they could not give me one at the local store. i went to a DSC (device service center) for at&t, and the guy took one look at my phone, tried to play around with it, and within a couple minutes said I would be receiving a new phone that day. I received a new phone, and even got my numbers and my sim transferred for me. if your phone continues to freeze up, definitely bring it in. hope this helps :)

I dropped my slvr and now the screen is white - can I retsore the screen?

to do a master reset blind press the red button a few times to make sure you are at the home screen. now press the center button once, press 8 then 5 press up twice then the center button once now enter your 6 digit security code and then press the center button twice. that should do a master reset on your phone. If that doesn't work then your screen is destroyed. If you don't want to spent money on a new phone you can always use the voice dialing button on the right side of the phone located right under the charging terminal. press it once then give a command (EX. "Call Joe smith") the phone should confirm the command, then say yes or no

Phone won't turn on/charge

Kikimenor: Advise. If this is your 3rd RAZR V3, you must encourage Cingular (Now is the new AT&T) to replace your whole unit with another model. A friend of mine exchange his phone 4 times, until Cingular replace it. Motorola had too many problems with RAZR phones and that's why they launch quickly the SLVR L7. They still producing the RAZR, because users love the style and shape of the phone, but reality is that Motorola had several heavy issues with RAZR (Bluetooth, batt, microphone, etc.) If you're paying for an insurance on your unit, encourage them to replace it.
