You first need to isolate the problem. Scan from both the automatic document feeder and then from the flat glass. If you get marks on both then you have a problem with the scanner optics. If the lines only appear on one or the other then the likely cause is dirty glass. Clean both the ADF narrow glass and the flat glass with a soft cloth and window cleaner. Spray the cleaner on the cloth not the glass directly. Pay close attention because even the smallest little bit of debris will cause defects you indicate.
