What type of oil filter wrench is used on a 2012 softail slim?

Its probably a K and N oil filter. That's a good oil filter. Try metric sockets on it. OEM Harley filters don't have nuts. They use a socket that grabs the entire circumference of the filter.
If the metric wrench doesn't help then use a strap wrench.

Removing the drain plug and oil filter on a 2005 pontiac vibe

They sell octagon shaped oil filter wrench that conforms to your oil filter's shape. Take your replacement oil filter, then call the auto parts store in your area and ask if they carry oil filter wrench for your car, If a standard filter wrench keeps slipping off, wrap 2 or 3 layers of rag to the old oil filer, then attach the oil filter wrench. The drain plug turns left to loosen, right to tighten. If you're using a socket wrench, attach a 1/2-inch pipe to the handle to increase leverage (cheater pipe). Another solution is a strap oil filter wrench

How to change the oil on a 2004 dodge ram 1500

Go under the car and locate the oil pan directly beneath the engine and use a wrench to remove the drain bolt after placing a container under it. If you need to change the oil filter, that is also accessed from underneath, and you will need an appropriate sized oil filter wrench to remove it. (It is not always necessary, although desirable, to change the filter with every oil change.)

Replace the filter by dipping your finger into fresh oil and coating the rubber gasket then simply screw it on and tighten it 3/4 turn beyond hand-tight using the filter wrench. Replace the drain plug and pour in the amount and type of oil specified in your owner's manual. Run engine a few minutes and check for leaks at the filter.

1987 Cutlass Supreme not turning on. Think fuel system?

Fuel Filter REPLACEMENT Gasoline Engines The fuel filter is located behind the fuel inlet connection on the carburetor. On 1976–87 vehicles fuel filters incorporate a check valve and are not interchangeable with earlier years. Replace the fuel filter every 15,000 miles (24,135 km), or sooner if engine flooding is a problem. Fig. 1: Hold the large fuel inlet nut on the carburetor while using a flare wrench to loosen the line connection 86681247.jpg
  1. Using an open–end wrench (preferably a line or flare nut wrench), loosen the fuel line connection from the larger fuel filter nut. You will have to hold the other nut with a wrench to keep it from turning. Most of the time these units are quite difficult to remove. It is a good idea to apply a lot of penetrating oil to the threads and then tap the nut lightly.
  2. Once you have the fuel line disconnected from the carburetor, remove the larger nut from the carburetor with a box–end wrench or socket.
  3. Remove the filter element and spring from the carburetor.
  4. Check the element for blockage by blowing through the fuel inlet end. If the element is good, air should pass through easily.
  5. Once you have checked and/or replaced the filter, reinstall the carburetor nut and the fuel line. Be careful not to strip the threads. Fig. 2: Install the new spring and filter in the order they were removed 86681248.jpg

Turn the incoming water off. Go to nearest faucet, run water to relieve pressure. Turn of water at outlet of filter, If filter has a pressure relief valve (red button on top) hold it down while taking housing off. Apply silicone lube to housing threads on re-install. Only tighten by hand, DO NOT use filter wrench to put housing back on.

HOw to replace Culligan water filters

For a 4-Stage system:
1. Open the housing caps of the components that house both the sediment and carbon filters (you may need a residential spanner wrench). Put each filter into its proper housing and tighten housing caps MANUALLY. Do not use wrench.
2. Repeat process with membrane housing and membrane (if membrane needs replacing).
3. Remove inline polishing filter by disconnecting tubing at both ends. Replace with new inline filter and reconnect tubing.

How can do i do a tune-up in 2000 chevy blazer ls 2wd

no tmuch to due, replace spark plugs, air filter. the fuel filter is the hardest, its under the vehicle. if you plan on replacing it, becarful, you will get gas running down your arms into the your arm pits. (this is burn) so becarful during this replacement.
you'll need "line" wrench to replace this filter, do not try removing the filter without a line wrench, by using a regual wrench it might be very tight to remove and a regual wrench will round off the nut where a "line" wrench will not. If you round off the fuel line nut, stop and tow it to your nearest dealership. they will have to replace the WHOLE fuel line.
