Question about Computers & Internet
Without knowing the exact model of router this will have to be a best guess, so if this doesnt work please can you provide the make and model detail, however as a rule the routers have a small hole on the back with a reset button ressed into them, if you hold this in for between 5 & 10 second depending on model, all the ligfhts follow a set pattern on the fron like they will all light up at once, or flash 3 times (different from a quick press), and then the router will go to factory defaults, HOWEVER please be aware this will also clear all firewall settings and may even clear your ISP logon details if you dont have a bespoke flashed unit by your supplier.
If this answer helps you , can you please provide good feed back and rate me.

There should be a very small button hole on the back of the router.
using something small enough to fit in that hole, insert it and press the button in and hold it for 30 seconds then let it go. The lights on the front of the router may blink, go all on or a combination of both.
After you pull the small object out the router should go through a reboot cycle
It should now be reset to the default factory settings.
Hope this helps.

Perform a Linksys reset:
The easiest method of resetting your Linksys router's password is to reset your router back to the default factory settings. This is done by simply holding down the reset button located on the back of the unit for at least 30 seconds. Once the router has been reset, it must be reconfigured. Using your web browser go to URL address http://192.168.1.1. You will then be prompted to login to your router. A log-in screen asking for the password will automatically appear. At this time enter the default password "admin", in lower case letters into the password field. The username field may be left blank at this time. (Note: both the default username and default password are set to "admin" on some of the newer Linksys router models).
You do not have to use the cd. Go to the control panel and un-install the program that the cd installed. then:
