The only other area is check the RF out transistor "usually heat sink-ed to the chassis" check for open traces on the circuit board, bad solder joints and the RF preamp transistor that is located close to the RF out transistor, If they are open or shorted they must be replaced.

I have a cx-366ce cb cannot hear talking what is wrong

Is squelch turned too high that it is blocking too many signals?
Otherwise, it could be a faulty cable on the mic as the PTT button disconnects the speaker on the CB and a broken wire can cause the speaker to be disconnected.

Hi cb,
Welcome to FixYa.
My name is John. I will be assisting you with your issue.
You will need a soldering iron for this. First, remove the cover from the radio.
You will need to check where the mic plugs in the circuit board, check for
loose connection in solder joints, just re-solder this area and you should
be good to go. I hope you find this solution helpful.
Thanks for choosing FixYa.

I have a magnum s 3 was working fine comes on lights up recives great talk back and neddle swings but will not transmitt hears fine will not say a word whats wrong

There may be 3 solutions. First, is the "dynamic" or mic volume set too low? Also, there may be a problem with the SWR (Short Wave Radio) settings which is most likely an antenna problem. Also, but less likely is the mic plug is loose or corroded. Try buying a new set of antennas and checking the antenna connections all the way through the vehicle and changing the mic volume settings.

Radio come on but do not recive or put out no sound

There is not enough information here to solve your problem but I can give you some places to start. Check your Mic something as simple as a broken ground wire could cause this. A quick check to see if the s meter is moving with signals could tell you if you have signal coming into the radio. Try another mic do some further diagnostics or seek professional help. There should be a CB shop around near you if not look for one at a truck stop.

Galaxy dx99v, bad squeal when I key the mic

Your microphone wires may be shorted take the mic plug apart (small screws) Now check for frayed wires touching or twisted together!
With the wires being resolderd or taped apart put back together
with the U pointing downward you shout have :
Right corner bottom Sheild ground!
Left corner bottom Black recive
Right corner top White or yellow this is Audio wire
Left corner top RED Transmit or PTT wire

If wiring looks good the problem is in the Mic take to servicer!

My cb transmits with a very weak signal and won't recieve anything. The weather band recieves with no problems. I couldn't even pick up a signal on my SWR meter but a friend of mine tested it on his home...

There are a few things that could be wrong. If there is something wrong with the mic, you may not hear anything on the radio. but weather will work.

Other then that, the receive section of the radio could be blown.

Try a new mic, and if it doesn't work, then there is something blown in the radio. It needs a tech.

I can hear my buddys talking to me on my cb radio but once i try and talk to them it just sqweeks

Usually a squeal is feedback from a very high SWR or a mic wiring issue. Have the SWR tested and try another mic. Make sure it has the proper wiring. Just because a 4 pin mic fits in the jack doesnt mean it has the same wiring configuration. Also if you run an amp dont wire the amp and radio to the same location. That can creat a ground loop and cause squeal, but not always.

No cb channels no audio no recive

If you have no channel display or CB operation, it sounds like a blown voltage regulator that supplies power to the CB PLL circuit.

I have no reciving in a cobra 29 ltd chrome

Bad switch. It's that simple. The factory switches are crimp together junk. You may be able to use a pair of needle nosed pliers to softly squeeze the case of the switch together to correct the poor contact in side of the switch, but, if it gets a lot of use you may need to replace it altogether. Or try adjusting
