Question about Yahoo Mail

Open Question

Can't get my yahoo email on my itouch any more by touching the automatic mail app. it used to work just fine. Now everytime I try I get the message :"the certificate for this server is invalid. You might be connecting to a server that is pretending to be "mobile.login.yahoo.com" which could put your confidential information at risk. I got the same message popping up on 3 different wifi today. My email on my computer works perfect and I can still access yahoo mail on the itouch via the yahoo website but another message warning me about security pops up before I decide to continue anyway.

Never mind..just figured out that the date and time got completely wrong when the ipod synced on the computer and reentering the correct date and time fixed the problem entirely.

Check the time on your computer. If it's wrong, the computer thinks the certificate is out of date, or not in date yet.

Hope this fixes the problem for you!

Email alert can't be set up keeps saying test email failed please help

I have successfully set this up using yahoo.uk mail.
I cannot get it to work with gmail or virgin mail.

Use these settings:

pop/smtp email server > smtp.mail.yahoo.co.uk
send to email address > your email address
account > your email address without the "@yahoo.co.uk"
password > your password

You can forward emails to your normal email address so that you can get alarms on your mobile without adding another email account.

Unfortunately your computer needs to switched on with sec24 running.

Everytime i try to enter my yahoo mail. it says invalid e-mail and password

I've also had this problem many times in Yahoo. The best solution for me was to reset the password.

But I don't consider Yahoo to be so safe, try to use a safer email provider, such as a Hotmail account.

I cannot open my yahoo mail anymore

Yahoo!Mail Account is only valid for 3months (90 days). If your account is inactive for more than 90 days, your email account will automatically deleted from the Yahoo list. But if your active mail user, but you cant open your account, try this following steps: -Open your Yahoo!Messenger (if available) -Sign in, use your email username and password -When you sign in, click the mail icon in the Yahoo!Messenger smoothly.png
it will redirect you to your Yahoo!Mail account.. You can now use your Yahoo!Mail again..
Goodluck!!

There are reported problems with Yahoo e-mail. Try accessing Yahoo mail after 30 minutes. The server could be down at the moment.

Thank you!

maybe you have switched this account to classic. or there are such mail or app which is not supported by your current browser. please try switching browser. Since, IE6 and IE7 is not currently supporting many new features , you should consider firefox, chrome or safari browser, if you are using IE.

Trouble sending emails from yahoo account using itouch

Strange question - but if you hit "reply" does it work? My daughter had the same problem with her cell phone when texting people. They never got the text, but if she hit "reply" it worked. I figured it out by typing in the actual phone number (in your case the e-mail address). Some how it worked, even though the persons name was already associated with the number. Now everything works fine! Not sure if it helps, but give it a try!

I can't send a picture to my email from iphone

if you are using Yahoo Mail and set up the account automatically with your iPhone/iTouch, you will get this error message whenever you try to email a photo. The solution is to set up the Yahoo mail account manually like you would any other POP account. I tried it after receiving that same error messaqe over and over and this seems to have fixed the problem. The issue isn't with the iPhone/iTouch, it is with Yahoo. Hope this helps
