Monitor screen momentarily flashes and blacks out

Most likely the power supply. Bad capacitors, if you think you can solder in new ones, good. If not; buy a new monitor

Why the monitor light switch off

Is this just the light or the monitor shuts down as well. This could be the circuit board for the buttons they are relatively easy to replace and purchase depending on the monitor. If it is an LCD monitor more than likely this is the issue if it is a CRT and the monitor stays on either get a new monitor do not waste money CRT's are easy to get these days. If it is a LCD since it was not specified replace the board for the button control only. If this does not solve the issue if the LCD monitor shuts down after replacing the button card. Then you can purchase a repair kit for your LCD monitor you will have to have knowledge of soldering to replace bloated capacitors you may find.
I have repaired many a garaged LCD monitor for a $17.00 dollar repair kit. So either way what is affordable to you. New monitor or board "Button" replacement or expensive shop repair to fix capacitors....John.

There are some kind of coloured dots and patches all over the monitor and the same thing appears even after switching it off and switching it on again.

Seems that you Monitor is having issues with the pixels.
You mentioned that it also is present when turning ON and turning the Monitor OFF right, if that is the case then you monitors screen needs to be replaced.
A pixelated monitor can only be fixed if replaced.
When you say Monitor do you mean a CRT Monitor or an LCD Monitor? for a CRT Monitor it is just going to be like a TV the picture tube can be repaired or a part can be replaced but for an LCD Monitor that will be replacing the LCD Panel.

Nokia 800+ monitor - screen is blinking approx.

I think the problem with your monitor is that, the picture board on the monitor is malfunctioning that is why it keeps going blank after a minute.

What you need to do is to replace the picture board on your LCD monitor, replacing the picture board will solve the problem, because the picture board on the monitor at the moment is bad and will need to be replace.

Replace the picture board and you will see that the problem will not repeat itself again.

Take care.

My monitor screen is ok for awhile but suddenly turns a dull yellow color. I just bought it a few months ago.

you must adjust the display settings in the software program that was being used to change the display setting.
  • If you have a flat panel LCD monitor, unplug the monitor power cable, wait about 30 seconds, reconnect the cable and then turn on the monitor. This resets the electronics on the monitor.
  • Make sure the monitor has power - the light on the monitor is on. If the light on the monitor is off, the monitor does not have power. Connect it to a different power outlet.
  • If the monitor has a detachable video cable, obtain a second monitor cable for testing purposes in case the cable is bad.
  • follw the another steps-
  • Replace the monitor power cable.
    1. Turn on the monitor. If the monitor displays an image, you are done. If the monitor remains blank, continue using these steps.
    2. Replace the video cable. Turn on the monitor. If the monitor displays an image, you are done. If the monitor remains blank, continue using these steps.
    3. If the monitor does not work after replacing the cables, replace or service the monitor
  • Thanks,

LCD flat panel monitor blinks logo over and over

Sounds like the LCD monitor is not getting a proper input signal. Check your cables between the computer and monitor. Replace them if need. Also check the pins and make sure that none are bent or disfigured.

Try a replacment monitor from a family member or friend. If their monitor works ok.....then your due for a replacment. The are very little user servicable parts inside.

    Cracked face panel on monitor

Yes, the LCD screen "face panel" can be replaced. However, note that this part is the most expensive part of the monitor. If your monitor is more than a year or two old, it may be difficult to find a replacement and it may be more cost effective to simply replace the whole monitor.
