Start off with basic settings of 1 1/2 turns out on both of them, then adj the "L" which should be closest to enjine to where you give it throttle it does'nt boog down on acceleration then get ready to adj the "H" which is closest to air filter, keep in mind you should always have a new spark plug and new or clean airfilter on the machine before attempting to adjust it, so anyways bring your saw to full throttle and adj "H" to where it 4cycles just a little, in otherwords run it in a little till peak sound(rpms) then back off till just is on the edge of slowing down or garbling a little. then go back to low speed and make sure it is o.k. then cut some wood at full throttle and see if maybe you can open it up some more with out loosing power. remember a hair rich is better any day than a hair LEAN! Good Luck 2StrokeJim

Can you please tell me what the carb adjustments are for the Poulan 18in. wild thing chain saw?

"L", "H", and "T" adjustments are all explained on the link. It is a very good carburetor setting procedure.

Start with “L” & “H” needle valves 1.5 CCW from lightly seated, then adjust for performance as follows.
Carburetor Adjustment by Madsens.com
http://www.madsens1.com/saw%20carb%20tune.htm
CW is leaner; to lean will destroy the saw. If over tightened closed (CW) the adjustment screw faces are easily marred; marred adjustments are difficult to impossible to set properly.
Clean the air filter; adjusting with a dirty filter can cause a run lean condition once cleaned and the saw run.
Clean the spark arrestor and muffler; if the saw cannot exhale it cannot inhale.
There are 2 wav (sound - idle & full - may not be highlighted) files that I find most helpful, I think you will too.
I am going to inject a little philosophy here. Undetected air leaks and defective fuel delivery systems account for most chainsaw failures. Constant adjustment of needle valves can easily camouflage more serious problems that result in burning up your saw. A sudden need for an adjustment may be indicative of a larger problem.

If you have more questions or need additional help please reply below and I will get back to you. HTH & Good Luck.

It sounds rich to me try turning the "L" needle CW a little. CAUTION CW is leaner, to lean will destroy your saw. Adding the air cleaner leans out the mixture. Adjusting it with the air filter off can cause a run lean condition when installed.

Clean the air filter. Remove, clean, and reinstall the muffler and spark arrestor.

If my new saw I would consider a Stihl mechanic tune up $40±. New plug, new fuel filter, pressure/vacuum tests and carburetor adjustment.

My chain saw bogs down like it is binding up with the chain on or off

I do not recommend operating your saw at full throttle without the bar and a properly adjusted chain.

Remove clean and reinstall the air filter and muffler, do not forget the spark arrestor. If it the problem persists turn the "H" needle valve CCW 1/8 turn. Better?
This is a very good adjustment procedure.

Engine stalls while cutting. Lacks power

Clean the air filter and spark arrestor (muffler). Try turning the "H" needle 1/8 turn CCW and retry. no better turn it CW 3/16 and try again.

This is a very good adjustment explanation.

I have a husquarna 357xp I need to know to fuel,air and T adjusments

The Husky workshop manual on Appendix A (USA) says "H" 3/4 turn CCW from lightly seated. "L" 1.5 turns CCW from lightly seated.
Page 36 (every other nation on earth) 1 turn CCW from lightly seated for both the "H & L" needles.
There is no recommended initial "T" setting. (from manual) "The idling speed is correctly set when the engine runs smoothly in all positions and there is a clear margin to the speed at which the chain starts to move".
These are initial settings and the saw needs to be adjusted for performance. Start with a clean air filter and a fresh fuel mix @ 50:1 per Husky (1 gallon of premium fuel to 2.6 ounces of quality 2-cycle oil).

This explains performance carburetor adjustment better than I can:
