SOURCE: CD/ DVD navigation system unlock
When changing the battery, it's like a reset button so the nav system is in startup mode, check the ownersmanual for the initial programmed code...probably 000000.
If you don't have the owners manual and it's not 000000, call the closest Merc dealer, and ask hem for the code.
hope it works, Gilbert.

Take it back to the 'secure location' as indicated in your service manual. It will automatically unlock when it gets a full satellite signal. You have to enter the PIN number twice when setting up the unit. You should always use a number which is familiar to you so you can remember it. If you can't remember it, and if your secure location doesn't unlock the unit, you will need to send the unit to Garmin to unlock it. You will need your receipt for Garmin to unlock the unit.
