I am not familiar with this refrigerator, but what you describe can happen if the refrigerator uses a motorized damper to control the refrigerator temp by varying amount of air from the freezer that circulates in the refrigerator compartment. If the damper door is stuck in the open position or broken, the refrigerator temp will not be controlled and freezing can occur in the refrigerator compartment.

The top of the freezer compartment does not freeze ice, but the bottom does. The top of the refrigerator compartment is not cold, but the bottom drawers are freezing.

It sounds like the fan in the freezer is not working , letting the cold air sink , and going into the refrig section from the bottom . Replaceing just the main control board may get the fan going again , however , replaceing both ( possible shorted fan motor will cause the new board to malfunction again ) would be the better suggestion .

Water dripping in the refrigerator and freezes on the top shelf. It seems to be coming from the freezer compartment. There is a square piece of metal missing from the top of the main compartment. One can...

Removed everything from the freezes. Removed a false bottom from the freezer floor, 2 screws. There was an ice build up under this plastic bottom. I let the ice melt with the de-frost cycle (or frost free cycle). No more water dripping into the refrigerator compartment.

Fridgidare/Electrolux top freezer not freezing fan stays on.

Look for ice buildup on the back wall of the freezer.
If ice is there you have a defrost parts issue.
If not, check the compressor to make sure it is running.

Top mounted freezer on refrigerator not working

Move the refrigerator to a room that is at least 50 degrees F.

Temps on most refrigerators are regulated by the fresh foods temp. If your garage is let's say 35 degrees, the fresh foods temp will most likely never raise enough to turn the refrigerator on. With the refrigerator never running, the freezer compartment will warm to 35 degrees, resulting in everything melting. Even if garage is a bit warmer, say 45, the refrig will not run long enough for the freezer to maintain a low enough temperture. If the garage temp falls to below freezing, say 20 degrees, the food in the fresh foods compartment will freeze. (outdoor beverage dispensers have internal heaters to prevent product from freezing !) Please don't rate this if not a Fix-Ya for you, as anything else lowers my score.
