Are you sure that there's no tiny piece of torn paper left inside the machine? It's very difficult to get all of it out if paper comes out in bits.

Kodak all in one 5500 states paper jam. Nothing works on it.

Nothing will work until you clear the paper jam. Even if there is no paper jammed, you need to open all the access doors and then close them again. The machine will do a reset cycle and then clear the paper jam message. If that doesn't work, then there is indeed a small piece of paper in there. Whenever you get a jam and yank a piece of paper out of the machine, you should flatten it out and verify there is nothing left behind and no bits missing..

My printer states "paper jam" although I don't see any paper. I bought new ink cartridges & it doesn't print the multi-color, only the black.

Paper jam means just that. Look for paper or a piece of paper jammed into a gear or stuck between a roller or even in your ink cartridge . When you put in your new ink did you take off the protective seal and run the HP software to check if it is reading the Cartridge ,You might want to read the instruction on how to install an ink cartridge. It might also help you ?

States paper jam when I go click to print?

That's happened to me before on my HP printer. Try opening the printer and checking for any paper that might be jammed. Look very carefully, if you find paper that's jammed, carefully remove it. Close the printer. If you have the option to hit OK to clear the jam on the printer, do so, and then try re-printing.

Paper jam

Make sure there are no bits and pieces inside your printer. You can check this by opening your printer cover and checking the 'cartridge run-way'. If you can't find anything unplug then replug your printer.

AFTER PAPER JAM WILL NOT PRINT

Hi,
The printer could be stuck with the paper jam error due to paper still stuck inside the printer. Make sure you check under the toner, in the back of the printer and at the paper tray. If there is still paper jammed then the printer will not go to a ready state. The other problem could be that the printer sensor got damaged after removing the jammed paged. If that is the case then you will probably have to take the printer to a service provider to fix it. Here is a link with illustration on how to check and removed jammed paper. http://bit.ly/aqUrn7

My Printer Jammed

If it states that it's jammed, there must be some tiny piece of paper or lint or a foreign object still inside your printer. Check the paper path again.

Printer states System Error Clear paper jam but no paper is there

If you did have a jam and did not get ALL the jammed sheet out, there is still a small piece of paper in there somewhere, probably covering a sensor or micro switch. Get a torch and look carefully. If youu don't find anything you may need to disassemble the printer to find it.
