I put a new sandisk in and the camera screen keeps going to the Format screen, and wont go away nor go to another screem if i press menu, what to do?

Maybe your memory card is 1. not already reformated; try to reformat it in your laptop or pc then try to put it back 2. your memory card is locked; check the side of your memory card, if it is lock. Some memory cards have lock in the side.

You need to get rid of the pics in the internal memory. With no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. Then, insert your card and it should work properly.

First, be sure the card slide switch is in the unlocked position. Then, insert the card,ignore the message on the screen and go into the camera menu to find "format"...then, follow the on-screen instructions.

Yes you will have to format it in your new camera. In most cameras, just go into the menu and scroll to "format" and follow the on-screen instructions.

Run the recovery tool from the SanDisk website. Make sure you select "format" when prompted.

You need to put the device into "recovery mode" before you run the tool.

- Turn the device off (hold power for 20 seconds)
- Slide the hold switch into "hold" position.
- Press and hold the "record" button while connecting it to your computer. Keep holding the "record" button until you see the "new hardware found" on your computer.

Then run the recovery tool. Select format when prompted.
