Thank you, I will try that. I have recently moved and have not found my manual yet. It might be the disc that I am using. Thanks again!

I think it is my disc. Didn't know disc made a difference. Thank you so much for your help. Cannot find my manual as I have just moved so your info is right on.

Hi!

First of all, you can delete recordings ONLY on DVD-RW! Recordings recorded on DVD-R CANNOT be deleted! In that case, edit the recordings with any video editing software on a computer and burn a new DVD without the footage you'd like to exclude.

If you do use a DVD-RW, follow the instructions on page 53 of the user manual, to delete scene(s) from the DVD.

In case of a problem or clarification or my solution was insufficient, don't hesitate to post me a reply before rejecting my answer.
If you are satisfied, rate my solution with the "thumbs" or (even better) add a testimonial.

Good luck & best regards,
Pelu.

Want to know how to delete a portion of my disc where I filmed the ground. Last answer you gave me was about a clock.

I think that you should have used VR format before you started recording. Only then does will the edit portion show on screen In recorded in Video
format , then the editing screen does not appear as editing with camera is not allowed. MAybe trying converting from video to VR format. Regards, Melvin

Can't play back videos on my experna; memory card Sandisk class 4 8Gb. Have a canon Vixia HFR10 camcorder

Okay, ours is a different brand (JVC) but they may have some basic similarities in function. To playback video clips stored on the memory card, put the memory card in the card reader slot of the computer and put the files onto the computer. Playback the clips from your computer video or photo file. (Ours won't playback video stored on the memory card through the camera.)

To playback video clips stored on the camera hard drive through the camera, we open the viewer screen, look at the function keys on the camera body, select the "Play" button. On the screen it displays thumbnails of the various video clips. We use the toggle/function key to select from the menu containing options for playback, edit, delete, protect, etc.

I just bought new discs for my Canon DC100. The

It's possible that, for some reason, the disks aren't compatible. It can almost drive you crazy trying to figure out why. To find out for sure if this is the case, try some new Panasonic discs, with the same specifications as the old ones that worked, and see if they work. If they don't work, you're probably having a dvr issue with the laser lens or related parts within the camera. There are many issues with dvrs that develop over time, requiring replacement parts and service. In those cases, it's usually better to get a replacement camcorder. The new HDD camcorders are immune from a lot of problems inherent with dvr and tape recorders.

Can't get rid of the screen images for video camera on playback

Hi
If it's like my Canon MVX25i date and time marking then go to the menu, select display setup (or whatever it's called on your camera) somewhere there should be a dialogue which allows you to switch the pesky thing off. I have never used date or time, a very amateurish concept in the first place.

Unless you're using DVD-RW discs, you won't be able to delete any recordings. Changes cannot be made to DVD-R discs once they are recorded on.
