Open Question

I have a WAVETEK OTDR model type MTS 5200e that never continue to power up when I press the power on/off switch. When I also connect the external charger, the unit is not charging. The battery is good and the external charger is good also. When I press the SETUP button the screen lights up with remarks ( starting file transfer to RAM.) but after that it leads also to ( Centronics error and the unit will reset in a few seconds.)

SOURCE: Non-Responsive PDA

You may have to do a hard reset. You hold one finger at the power and the other hand hold your stylus and his reset. This technique is applied to most PDA.

On my e-motion tv when I switch it on and go onto did it says no signal....help please

Why does my TV say no signal? If your HDTV or Standard TV displays a "No Signal" error message, it may be due to one of the following issues:
  1. Determine how many TV's are affected.
    • If it is one TV, continue to step two.
    • If multiple or all TV's are affected, continue to step five.
  2. Ensure that your HDTV is on the same source/input as your MTS Ultimate TV service.
    1. Press the TV button on your MTS Ultimate TV remote control.
    2. Press the TV/Video button.
    3. Wait 10 seconds.
    4. Repeat steps b and c continually to cycle through all the available source/inputs on your TV until the correct source/input is selected. (ie. HDMI 1, HDMI 2, Component 1, Component 2, etc.) On standard TV's (non HDTV), you may have only 2 choices, TV or Video.
  3. If the source is correct from step two:
    1. Unplug the HDMI cable from your MTS Ultimate TV Set-top Box.
    2. Wait 30 seconds.
    3. Plug the HDMI cable back in.
    4. Wait for the signal to initialize.
    5. Make sure all cables connected on the set-top box and your TV are secure.
  4. If the problem persists:
    1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the MTS set-top box.
    2. Wait 60 seconds.
    3. Plug the MTS set-top box back in.
    4. Wait for the signal to initialize.
  5. If you are still experiencing a problem:
    1. Make sure ALL Ethernet and/or Coax cables are securely in place.
    2. Unplug the power from the MTS box labeled 2Wire or Pace as well as the affected set-top boxes.
    3. Wait 60 seconds.
    4. Plug the power back into the MTS box labeled 2Wire or Pace.
    5. Wait for the broadband light to turn a solid green colour.
    6. Plug the power back into the affected set-top boxes.
    7. Wait for the signal to initialize.
Good Luck

Operator's manual/ owner's manual for wavetek fg2a needed

I couldn't find your exact model for free, but I did find the manual for the Wavetek FG2C. Perhaps they are similar? You can find it here: http://www.tequipment.net/assets/1/26/Documents/FG2C_FG3C_Manual.pdf

If not, you should be able to purchase the manual here: http://www.manualsdrive.com/results.php?lang=en&search=WAVETEK%20FG2A. I've never used that particular site, but the FG2A manual, installation guide, etc are listed.

Best of Luck!

Acer connect projector

Connecting an External Monitor or Data Projector

You can switch to an external monitor or data projector by two methods.
1. Connect the external monitor to the laptop's video port, power up the external monitor first and the laptop. The video information will automatically switch to the external monitor.
2. If you power up the laptop first then you can switch the video output to the external monitor by pressing the Fn key and one of the Function keys, depending upon your make and model laptop. You can also toggle between the external monitor or both LCD screen plus the external monitor or back to LCD screen only by pressing the Fn key plus one of the function key a few times.
Here is a list of key combinations for some of the laptops :-
IBM ThinkPad = Fn + F7
HP and Compaq = Fn + F4
Toshiba = Fn + F5
ASUS and Dell = Fn + F8
