Question about T-Mobile Wing™ Smartphone
Whenever I turn the LCD, there is a high pitched ringing coming from the phone. It is quiet, as it is coming from the front speaker (for your ear). When you actually put your ear up to the speaker, it is loud and very annoying. It is very noticeable all the time that the LCD is on, and totally goes away whenever the LCD is off. Any help as to what may be causing this and any solution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Obviously it's crosstalk from the supply for the LCD backlight supply into the audio amp...it's odd, because the supply should feed LEDs rather than a CF...but I'm thinking maybe a label in the phone got wet and is conducting your whine over to the audio bits.
The general solution is to crack the case, find the audio circuits, and make sure there is no deposit linking the areas such as from water condensation, spilled coffee, soaked label, etc. You can hear when you've fixed it!
