Question about T-Mobile Wing™ Smartphone

High pitched ringing when LCD is on

Whenever I turn the LCD, there is a high pitched ringing coming from the phone. It is quiet, as it is coming from the front speaker (for your ear). When you actually put your ear up to the speaker, it is loud and very annoying. It is very noticeable all the time that the LCD is on, and totally goes away whenever the LCD is off. Any help as to what may be causing this and any solution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Obviously it's crosstalk from the supply for the LCD backlight supply into the audio amp...it's odd, because the supply should feed LEDs rather than a CF...but I'm thinking maybe a label in the phone got wet and is conducting your whine over to the audio bits.
The general solution is to crack the case, find the audio circuits, and make sure there is no deposit linking the areas such as from water condensation, spilled coffee, soaked label, etc. You can hear when you've fixed it!

Having problems with calls coming through on the blackberry pearl, I am sitting right next to the phone and never hear or even see the call come in. What can I do to change this?

In this case please follow the steps:-
1) Go to profile.
2) Scroll down and Select Advanced.
3) Press Menu key.
4) Select Edit.
5) Scroll down and Select Phone.
6) Select out of Holster, Select the Option which you like and select the tone as well.
7) Scroll down and Select Volume, Keep it High.
After doing all this changes check the ring tone in your Handheld it will work, Incase still if it is not working there might be a problem with the Speaker you need to walk into the service center.
I hope I was able to help you.
Thank you for using Fixya.

When I receive a call it rings only twice my end altho the caller hears about 10 rings. I often cannot get to the phone in time to answer and would like to increase the number of rings to 10.

Your profile may be set to a vibrate and tone setting. Therefore, you wouldnt hear the vibrating.

Go to Profiles then scroll to Advanced, select the profile that you are using. Scroll down and select Phone.

Where it says Out of the Holster, change the option to Tone and the Volume to Medium or High.

Annoying high pitch noise coming from devise

I believe that this has involves the processor, and maybe the refresh rate (or the T E2's equivalent) being faster than the screen would like.

Sorry for the personification there (I want to sound smart.)

My palm makes a constant high pitched sound when it is powered on

Is your speaker making this high pitched sound or is it something else. If it's "something else" then there is no problem to worry about. It's just an audible frequency given off from the touch screen.
