Question about KitchenAid KBRA20EL Bottom Freezer Refrigerator

The handle is coming loose on one side of my freezer door. I have a , KitchenAid Architect Series II KBFS20EVMS. Is there a way I can fix it myself?

Yes you can tight the handle.If the handle is coming loose, that means the screws are coming loose.The handle is fitted via screws from inside.You will have to open the door, then from inside remove the inner door panel.Once the inner is out, on the back side of door you will see the screws.Just re-tight the screws and handle is tight.Then replace the panel and tight it.

    Part number 4 is the inside panel.Its fitted by screws or clips.You will need thin knife to insert in the door panel gap.Open the door and in the inner side there is panel.Remove that panel out and you will see the screws.

KSRS25CSMS02. The benzyl is loose for the ice maker and water on the freezer door. How do you remove it or tighten it up?


It should snap on because it (the facade) has plastic tabs that should snap into locking tabs as seen in the video below. Thanks John Tripp Appliance 911

You can tighten them just find where the allen key nut, or screw is, normally on the bottom of the handles.

most the handles will inter change . you will need the model # of the other frig in order to get the ones you like . but keep in mind they are not inexpensive . I looked up one of these pt # 2316868 stainless handle and are sittind down! they are $ 101.93 each . . and you need 3 .. hope this helps mm feed back pls

I am having trouble getting new fridge cool enough in fridge. Should it get below 40 f in fridge on mid setting of both freezer and fridge section


fresh food tempt should be 38 deg ( this is good ) and 40 is close . as it will be 5 deg up and down freezer thempt should be around 5 to 15 deg or ice mker will not work . make sure the coils ore clean and fans are working or these tempt can not be obtained . mm feed back pls

KSRS25RGBT00 Kitchenaid How Long does a ref run each day if unopened, full of food in ref and freezer and room temp around 72deg f Ref is 11 years old. Coil is very clean.


lets just say a modern unit would run about 15mins every 2 hours.(if the doors are kept SHUT.(they dont count how many times the little darlings leave the door open)

I have same problem. Just called KitchenAid and they told me I needed a T-20 torque key - you can buy it from them or at a hardware store. Good luck.

To fix this you will need an Allen wrench small one there are 2 set screws on the inside part of the handle (on side toward the center) you wil need to tighten these to fix your problem
