All you need to do is a reset. You can do this by removing the battery for about 10minutes and re-inserting it. This would help correct all forms of error that can cause such a thing to happen.
Hope this was helpful?

  • Sometimes the DSI will freeze. The only way to get it back to normal is to remove the battery for a minute and re-install it. Then power it back on and your DSI will return to normal. I usually pull the battery out for a minute to reset the DSI before bed to reset it so it does not freeze on my when I am gaming during the day. Otherwise every so often it will freeze. Happt gaming.

My dsi xl (with f. 1.4.3u) won't open it, HELP?

It means you update the dsi console before updating your r4 card, and now you need to find a ds lite or dsi which version is lower than v1.4.4 to update the r4 card.

My son dropped his dsi xl in the loo and he tried pushing the power button to turn it off. I've blower dried it. I haven't be able to take it apart to dry out, but now I have it in a bag with rice....

First you want to keep it plugged in and start it. If it doesn't start, let it charge and try again. If it still doesn't start you might want to call and check if you have warranty over it, and then send it back to get it replaced. That or get a new one all together.

Hi, could you help me please? recently my stupid nephew tried connecting the internet to his dsi and then he switched the dsi off, when he tried to switch the dsi ON it said: "an error has occurred...

Close the DS, turn the volume all the way down and then press a few more times, reopen, hold down power switch. It should turn off.

If it still doesn't work then it look like it was trying to do an update and was shut off while updating.

For a Guarantee fix you must change your DSi motherboard, they cost around $40 on ebay.

Thanks

Error message on dsi when trying to use r4 card

Heya Debs,

This problem is likely because the latest Nintendo based firmware doesn't actually support old R4 and fake R4i cards, only very specific R4i cards support it (namely the official R4i 3DS). You can probably swap your R4 card for a newer card like the Acekard 2i, Supercard DSTWO, Cyclo DS iEvolution, or frankly any of a number of cards that will work on the new DSi XL and 3DS consoles. I would personally recommend the Supercard DSTWO, though, I use it myself. It also has GBA emulation built-in which is kind of awesome if you want to play older games. The Acekard 2i is cheaper, but doesn't have the GBA functionality.

I'm not sure where you're based but if you're in the US, use "dsmagazine" as a voucher (I found this on an online DS news site) for DSCardWorld.com, they're authorised retailers of the Acekard and Supercard - I think also a few others. NDS-gear.com is probably better if you live in the Europe or in the UK though since they have cheaper shipping there. They still stock authentic cards so you should be all right either way.

Good luck, and please kindly upvote my answer if you've found it useful! :-)

My nintendo has got a problem for a few months now. when turn on the power button, it has given an error messagge "an error has occurred. press and hold the power button to turn the system off....

If the following error message appeared in your DSi or DSI XL: "An error has occurred. Press and hold the POWER button to turn the system off...", It means that your Nintendo has been updated (by the Internet) to the version 1.4.2 (or 1.4.3) or you bought it updated. In this case your DSi XL or DSi doesn't work with any flashcard in the market.

If you don't have an updated flashcard, the solution requieres both "updating the kernel of your flashcard" and also "patching it". I hope it helps you.

Ref: DSI Bought 3DS communicator and now I'm receiving this error message " An error has occurred. Press and hold the Power Button to turn the system off. Please see the Nintendo DSI Operations...

Simple fix... stop pirating and buy the games.
The message ''An error has occurred'' is a typical message which many users have encountered on their DSi, DSi XL, 3DS and Wii. It happens when either a blocked modchip or flashcart is detected by the console.

How to remove software upgrade on DSi? DSTTi card

Hey Alex,

Unfortunately the DSTTi doesn't work on the newer Nintendo firmware updates; you'd have to use a 1.4.3 compatible card or higher. You can probably swap your DSTT card for a newer card like the Acekard 2i, Supercard DSTWO, Cyclo DS iEvolution, or frankly any of a number of cards that will work on the new DSi Xl and 3DS consoles. I would personally recommend the Supercard DSTWO, though, I use it myself. It also has GBA emulation built-in which is kind of awesome if you want to play older games. The Acekard 2i is cheaper, but doesn't have the GBA functionality.
