It could be that your imaging unit has a problem with the developer blades. If your printer looks faded like this: black copy usually is too - slamfix_53.jpg The problem is with the developer in the imaging unit. The problem can be fixed by either replacing the imaging unit for $100+ or you can fix it yourself by cleaning the imaging unit. You will need simple hand tools and if you are careful restore the print quality of your printer. I have a link to instructions that should help you http://www.fixya.com/support/r4120906-clean_developer_blades_samsung_clp_300 Hope this helps you.

Remove the toner/drum cartridge. Carefully rotate the drum, via the end with gear, to check the edges for toner spots like appear on the copies. If located on drum, GENTLY wipe off with a dry cotton ball. Reinstall cartridge. Check to see that spots are gone. If spots reappear, replace with new cartridge (drum most likely damaged)

,my copies are almost to light to read, ive only had the printer for a couple of weeks the printer is a lexmark c750 laser

How many pages do you think you've printed?

If this was a brand new printer it might already need new toner. The "starter" toner they give you with a new printer usually doesn't last long.

Black lines on every copy

Good morning Jean,
A mark that is three inches apart can either be the drum, which is part of your toner cartridge, or the fixing assembly, which heats the toner and makes it stick to the paper. With both problems you are describing it could be either of these. The easiest way to figure out which it could be would be to replace your toner and see if the problem persists or if the machine is fixed. If you rub you finger on the left side of the page where the problem is does the toner rub off? If this happens then the fixing assy needs to be replaced. It could also be a combination of both problems. If you replace the toner it could fix part of the problem or vice versa.
Hope this helps

Black smudge marks along left side edge of paper.

Its probably a defective toner. If the film on the toner drum is scratched it can cause toner to stick to the drum everytime it spins causing the constant marks.

Lexmark E320 - new cartridge poor print quality

Hello,

Have you cleaned the print head surface lately? It is located directly above the top of the toner cartridge which you need to remove to do this right. Now using a dry soft cloth reach inside and find the narrow slot and carefully go back and forth with the cloth (sharp metal edges be careful). If this does not solve the problem next try removing the toner cartridge and clean the metal contacts inside the printer on your bottom left side when looking into the open printer also it would pay to remove the transfer roller on the bottom inside this has two black tabs that release the roller the one on your left (again looking into open printer) should have a metal strip that should be free of toner on both sides this will also cause poor print.

Vertical streak near left edge of printouts....only affects black portion of print image

Where best to look will depend a little on the nature of the smudge. If what you're looking at is white, then you might just have a little heap of toner or paper dust on part of the LED array that paints the picture onto the photoconductor drum (look for a narrow unit that stretches full width, adjacent to the drum. Dark marks may, if you're lucky, be down to dirt on charger wires. Both respond well to cleaning with a vacuum and a soft cloth (be very gentle if cleaning the wires). I would be inclined to trust the existing photoconductor unit unless you know it's been abused (e.g. by leaving it lying around in daylight) or the coating on the drum is visibly damaged. A.
