Depeding on how the water is heated in your house I would be checking the water tank to see if maybe your water heater is working properly Some water heaters run on electric some run on gas if the water heater is not heating your water supply then you would have no hot water If you have any further questions message me back Thanks Rick

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

So sorry but you have actually posted onto the washing machine forum so you might not get another response ;-0(
Try reposting to one which deals with showers.
Having said that it COULD be a similar problem which washers have in that there is a fine filter in each of the inlet ports and your cold one is blocked with limescale. I suspect a plumber is required ;-0(

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Your shower valve has an temp equalizer valve in it, you will have to take it apart, clean all the calcium or debris from it. flush out the hot and cold lines with valve dismantled , cover drain to make sure you don't lose any parts. reassemble with Vaseline. good luck.

Why does water suddenly go cold during shower? It only happens in master bath... guest bath shower does not cause same problem. I have to go outside and unplug and plug back in heater to get it to start...

Try running the hot water in the sink while you have the shower. If the water in the shower stays hot, then the problem is not enough flow through the water heater to keep the heater running. I am guessing that the master bath is further away from the water heater than the guest bath. If not I would check the shower nozzle in the master bath to see if it is clogged a bit or if it is a water saver nozzle because this will slow down the water volume and then cause the water heater to shut off the heat.

Pressure is high can it be adjusted?

Is this a new install? Is this happening with cold and hot water, or just one? Is it just happening with the shower valve open if it's not a new install. it may be the shower valve bad. These can be replaced easily, Lowes $7-14 depending on brand. The water has to be shut off from coming in to the shower. If it is happening with the water running on either hot/cold, the each one has a valve like the shower knob. These go bad and are replaced the same. These release to much water when the rubber seal breaks down inside the valve. Let us know which way it's happening and maybe able to help more.

Bosch AquaStar 125b ng suddenly goes cold during shower

Does it happen to any other fixture? If not, it's most likely your shower valve and not heater.

I have exactly the same problem

you need to change the cartridge, it is a temp control and is going bad so it keeps you from burning yourself it is like a mixing valve and is givng more cold water, that way you don;t get burned,,
